  • @Wheelz12 Yeah..but for the most part it's a dead practice. There still are a few performers out there that believe in showing the fan a good time, but by and large you can't even "belly up" to the stage without having to push through a line of security guards...It's just sad.

  • @zjbeast yeah, this is a Johnny Cash song. Though "Cocaine Blues" is also an old blues standard; a whole 'nother song with the same name

  • Reminds me of when I saw George at the Bus Stop in East Lansing somewhere around the same time. Took a while to get acclimated to seeing him rock out in an absolutely hideous disco.

  • What the fuck are you going on about? This is a video of George Thorogood playing "Cocaine Blues". It has NOTHING to do with religion or evolution or any of that stuff, man. Are you foreign or just retarded?

  • For those of you arguing over whether G.T. does drugs, this is a really old country song from the 1940's and George just covered it. It's been done a ton of times by all kinds of musicians and it's self is a re-write of an older song called "Little Sadie".

  • Geez you need to settle down! Sounds like you're on some coke!!!

    It's just a fun song.

  • Only users loose drugs

  • Germans dancing.

  • LOL! Right on!!! At least they're not goose stepping hey?

  • IS that what "dance was back then O.O those must of been the pioneers

  • Ha! You must be 14 or something. Look at the year and the location. 1980- Germany. C'mon thats not even that long ago. Pioneers? are you serious?

  • Lol ya that is actually 7 years before my time

  • So he goes to all that trouble to get girls to come out to the dance floor to dance with the guys... and then he sings a song about a guy who kills his girlfriend? How romantic!

BTW, it's thought the song was written by TJ Arnall in 1947. It was a reworking of an old traditional song called "Little Sadie". (So says Wikipedia, anyway.)

  • It is most definitely a rework "I shot woman down, went right home and went to bed, I stuck that lovin 44 beneat my head" "Met a little sadie and I shot her down. Went right home, got into bed, 44 pistol under my head."

  • seen george a few times years back, great shows, but did ya notice when he stops singing all the songs are the same lol.

  • Went to see him last night he was fantastic first time I have seen him live unbelievable if anyone gets the chance its worth it brilliant!

  • George remembers how we all danced back then, remember the sock hops?

  • The sound quality could be better. Drums are too loud and guitars are too quiet.

    Great song though.

  • Don t ask me why but when i seen this video for the first time for some reason i couldnt stop lookin at that guy at 1:25 the one that looks like hes freakin out with the blue overalls LOL

  • Saw the destroyers in Burlington Vermont many years ago - surrounded by rednecks or whatever you call them up there - they've always kicked ass!

    slide it on George!

  • hahahaha i laughed my ass off at 1:25 haha,

  • Good god those dances are aweful. They look like they're having a seizure.

It's cool to see what the 60/70s generation were up to though.

  • Willie Dixon wrote this song years ago..

  • It was written by TJ Arnall, first recorded by originally recorded by Roy Hogsed in 1947, but anyway..... Best version of this song is JC or Hank III

  • johnny cash's version is the best

  • dam how many people sang that song?? is it cash who wrote it

  • Thanks again, 'Slide, love this tune. Pretty gruesome crowd though, no wonder he couldn't get any chicks out on the floor.

  • this sounds like the benny hill version!

  • Die Deutschen tanzen wie Idioten! LOL

  • George Thorogood Kicks ass. Great drivng tunes...... Got to love that German dancing

  • Great song. That's not dancing...that's a scene from Night Of The Living Dead.

  • love this song but i prefer the 1st version

  • George is beyond cool, hard to buy that he is not from the South.

  • The studio version by George of this tune is pretty good.

  • yyyeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!!!
