This tiny part of a train looks to run as fast as a normal full train on Raven. Wonder what a full train would run like! Guess we will find out on Voyage. If it goes any faster than it already does...oh man I cant imagine! Cant wait to try it out!
Well all the track at Holiday World have junior sized PTC's so... their coasters, yeah. Others, no. Like Thunder Run at SFKK has the high back, which shows that it's a standard PTC. There's also a 3 bench PTC, which can be found on rides like Racer at Kings Island. PTC is also trying to make a 1 bench style... but I don't much like it personally.
Well, looks like GCI will be having some stiff competition with their single bench coaster cars. GCI was the first to come out with the Millenium Flyer trains. Now Gravity Group has their version, called the Timberliner. I hope PTC can get their act together to stay competitive.
PTC made some improvements to their trains that are appealing (Voyage - easier manual release in front of each car, and a more "flexible" seat divider.) But yeah, while their hallmark is tradition, many PTCs could use some improvements.
Better give them an extra tug so they don't start feeling insecure about their own caterpillar-looking articulated trains.... that didn't make the cut.
Raven is a great coaster, but with Timberliner's it could be the best Coaster at the park. I really hope HW buys some and puts them on one of their wooden coasters!
Wow, that Timberliner looks HEAVY!

Oh wait... that means that trims may have to be added to the Voyage. If it goes really fast.

This is very interesting - thanks for posting this.
So I'm guessing that all wooden tracks are of standard demensions? Ha...It would be funny to see Raven trains on the Voyage if that's true. ^-^

Anybody test them out before they took them over here in Cincinnati? And are you planning to use their trains next season?

nearly look like b&ms floorless trains

They sound incredibly good, reminds me of the Millennium Flyer trains, but with the sound of a fighter jet

Quite cool. Reminds me of the short trains I'd try to get away with in RCT lol

Apparently these new trains are also launchable. That'll be a cool and odd sight to see...a launched wooden coaster :)

I hope if they're going to use the Timberliners that the trains are a bit longer. Still, this is flying already.

This is a prototype and the actual trains will be the size of a normal train.

That's what I thought, thank you friend.

Not exactly sure this is good relations with PTC.

Wow...
I'll gladly donate to the "Timberliners on Voyage" fund! And if Gravity Group wants to test it on Voyage with passengers, give me a call!
