  • Gwen a prophet? That is such a joke. And I'm Michael Jordan.

  • The woman they interviewed on the program is 100% right. OUTRAGEOUS that she has to remain anonomous. This Gwen is truely a mean, sue happy bully.

It is true, you can wind up with an eating disorder. I wound up with anorexia when I was in RF.

That Maggie chick is a jerk. When I first joined RF she was really helpful to me but i started gaining my weight back and asked for her help and instead of helping me she went behind my back and turned me into leadership.

  • I know someone whose arthritis diminished her ability to move and exercise for years before finding medications that allow her to be active again. I read lots of comments about fat people being gluttony but very little of the Golden Rule or empathy for those who are overweight.

  • Im not a member of RF church but the truth is this people dont wanna lay down sin and they want the food more than they want a relationship with God. IT is a choice SIN is a choice and greed for food is gluttony. Read the bible and really read and comprehend the words. Ive been to remnant as a guest to my co worker and ive met so many loving generous and wonderful people who may be brainwashed but they live gods word everyday and wont be left behind. so keep eating fatties!!!

  • This is why I don't watch these shows. They demonize anything that is religious and blow everything out of proportion. But what do you expect? This is a new world order now and your government wants you to think that they can walk on water and everything that comes out of their mouth is gold. This diet is NOT dangerous at all! It is simple: EAT ONLY WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY, BUT DON'T BE A GLUTTON! You government wants to keep you fat with health problems. It keeps them rich! Shame on you!

  • This is ridiculous!! They don't say to eat only five bites, you eat until full and then wait until hunger comes again. The more weight you need to lose, the less food your body will call for, until the weight is down. Bulimia? Mind control? Fear of retribution? Wow really?? I'v never seen such slander and anger more than what I've seen aimed at these people, by other so called christians. So to transfer your love of food over to God is a bad thing? God is doing a wonderful thing through WD.

  • It would be fascinating to see how comments I might make on WDW videos would last ..

  • You are a twister of words. I did not say Satan owned the world I said their are many systems set up in the world especially in weight loss that ARE governed by Satan. Any system that centers on self is of Satan, when it comes to weight loss. Oh I could name many areas but this is the arena we are talking about. You are a person with a made up mind to believe what your going to believe and twist the words of anyone who doesn't believe the way you do. I will not be pulled into your delusion.

  • @jeanettemontanez .. You raise a great point about the twisting of words. You've done a great job of it here, ignoring the plain thrust of your teacher Gwen Shamblin's assertion that the world belongs to Satan. You've learned much from her by learning how to spin what she really meant into a homogenized vanilla defense of her own addled thinking. Congratulations. I hope she gives you a gold star on your card next time you share a Long Island Tea with her at the bar after church on Saturday night

  • @Rafaeldamian WOW, you are vicious! Such an angry response. By the way, God never said you could not drink, he said don't get drunk (Nothing wrong with a Long Island Ice Tea or any drink in moderation) He did say, however not to be glutton's. You think you are righteous because you don't drink (Man's rules), yet you are upset when we are told not to overeat which is gluttony (God's rules). I'm sure IF you respond it will be nasty and sarcastic, but God bless and prayers anyway.

  • @ziongrl1 No, Gwen is vicious and her leadership is a pack of ruthless pitbulls. They seem loving but if you bother them with problems, watch out! If you aren't happy, they are BRUTAL!! Gwen's God is the God of self. The church is all idolizing her. It's Gwen this, Gwen that, whatever Gwen says, does, etc. Nobody else can teach. She is the queen. Who is she to say the Trinity doesn't exist. She is feeding everyone lies.

  • @Rafaeldamian I am not part of this program, but I must say that Satan DOES control this World. It is Satan's Kingdom on loan by God. Satan's time is coming to an end. And thank God for that!

  • You sound almost venomous in your response to Gwen's weight loss plan. I have read her books and never once does she advocate earning God's Love and Grace by being at the "proper weight". Her goal is simple. Eat only when you are hungry and learn to understand your body's hunger cycle to the point of satiation. American's have become pignopins with their large portions and super size cravings. Gwen is teaching each of us to trust God to lead us down the right path.

  • @pammieroo Oh, so saying the world is owned by Satan and painting all non-Gwen Approved churches, Christians, doctors and dieters as Satanic pawns is sweetness and hearts, Pammie? You think I'M "venemous" ? LOL

  • @pammieroo Oh, so saying the world is owned by Satan and painting all non-Gwen Approved churches, Christians, doctors and dieters as Satanic pawns is sweetness and hearts, Pammie? You think I'M "venomous" ? Shall I go on? I could quote a dozen other quotes from her teachings that show how "sweet" her bilous ravings are. The problem is you are so used to the taste you can't tell the difference anymore.

  • This is not true! This news interview is not telling the truth! I've done weighdown before, around the time I was 21 and I lost all of the weight after having a 10 pound baby! I wasn't starving, and I felt pretty good because I had control over my eating habits. 4 kids later, I'm back weighdown and it's the easiest weight to lose weight and you can eat diet foods, hamburgers, fries, cheese, chinese food and so much more. It's not starving! And I've joined her church.

  • @fh92578 It is starving. Get real. When you're told to eat anything you want as long as its only 5 bites per meal and nothing else .. and then told to HALVE that and "wait until the growl", it is physiological STARVATION. Eating ANYTHING you want, regardless of the nutritional value, is NOT healthy. Eating five bites of a fatty hamburger and greasy fries is NOT nutritionaly sound. Wonder why Miss Dietician Gwen never addresses that? Go ask her and see how far you get questioning the "prophet"!

  • @Rafaeldamian It absolutely is starving!! My God, Gwen keeps getting thinner and thinner, she looks terrible!! WD will cost you everything, money, true friends, family, eventually your life. You are 100% right. Gwen is feeding these people LIES. She is BOGUS and so is her church. They are a pack of vicious pitbulls disguised as "shepherds".

  • The woman being interviewed is missing the message of this program. Those that are eating what seem like small meals to most, might be fully satisfied with just that amount. However, if people on the program are starving themselves, they are not properly following the idea. The ones that are successful are the ones who fully rely on God. It's definitely not a cult. Gwen is sharing GOD's Word and is HELPING millions give up the control of food over their lives.

  • @shortcake1000 .. That's what Gwen would like you to think. That's what their leadership blithely says with a smile.

    "Why, the doctrine is flawless."

    "The Message is from God."

"THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU."

Just like all other cults act -- see "Mind Control Made Easy", the video on this channel. Gwen and RF fit the profile to the T. Hardly "outlandish" but more on target then they'll ever admit because if they ever did, they'd be eaten alive by their followers.

  • Satan is the accuser of the brotheren

  • @jeanettemontanez -- You are right. Anyone who thinks the world is owned by Satan walks hand in hand with him .. trying to block for his lies.

  • @Rafaeldamian. Please do not twist my words. I believe Gwen Shamblin is a Woman of God. I believe you are an accuser of the brethren. So according to your words you walk hand in hand with him. As for satan owning the world well read John 14:30 and 2 Corinthians 4:4. The WORLD is owned by God himself but the godless of this world turn to satan as their god. Satan's system is what is in place especially in the area of weight loss. Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, etc.... the list is endless.

  • @jeanettemontanez - Ok, let's see 1) You think Gwen Shamblin is a "Woman of God" 2) You think Satan owns "The World" 3) Anyone who trusting in anything else beside Gwen Shamblin is of Satan. Hmm. So you trust a woman who will harangue anyone she doesn't approve as as "Satanic" and who conveniently forgets that the Bible says that "the EARTH is the Lord's AND THE FULNESS THEREOF." (All means ALL). So who's in charge? God or Satan? As I said .. we know who you block for, Jeannette

  • Mind control? Give me a break! My mom lost 25 pounds instantly, and is still keeping it off! The point of the diet is NOT to wait until you're about to pass out to eat, but just to eat when you're HUNGRY!

  • @txterbyheart .... and of course, to join a church that completely and totally accepts Gwen's word as Gospel truth, believe she's a prophet, and continues to support her disciplinary practices that helped contribute to the division of families and destruction of marriages across the nation. Wonder how your dad feels about this mess.

  • I've lost 70 pounds on Gwen Shamblin's diet and I ate everyday several times a day a large variety of foods. If someone developes a eating order from this diet it was a underlying condition before they even started this program. Don't believe this garbage people unless you've read her book for yourself. This diet teaches you to stop over eating PERIOD! It's a great program!

  • @dunbarsh33 .. yes it's a great program to incrementally lead you into surrendering more and more of your personal autonomy, conscience and soul to people who want to control you and say it's all "shepherding" through love. Why don't you ask all the people who've left the program and the cultic church using it to recruit with why they left? At least 50 people left in the past year or so .. maybe you should look them up and ask them if they were all "LIARS". No? Why not? What are you afraid of?

  • I think this woman is dangerous...

  • @ohiodarlin She absolutely is. PURE EVIL!!

  • the refrigerator is for freshness and storage not inspiration and fulfillment.

  • Following God's design for weight loss is a positive thing! The absurd accusations of "brainwashing" and fear are not of God. His word states, Perfect Love hath no Fear. Many want to tear down perfection or truth. Gwen never stated one could not receive salvation or entry to heaven for being over-indulgent. She is speaking the truth. Gluttony is a sin. Accountability also offends many.

  • @pammieroo ... Au contraire, Pammieroo. She has indeed made it clear by her evangelical zeal to make you into a clone like her AND her words that you have to be at your "target weight" (whatever that means) before you can ever expect God's favor or grace. Be honest - the "accountability" you speak of includes bullying people speaking nastily about your failure to lose weight. The fear in RF social circles is so great that perfect love never has a chance there.

  • @Rafaeldamian I have no dog in this fight, but I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you are a fat person that doesn't like hearing that being fat is wrong. I feel bad for you that you have to judge others to make yourself feel better. I will pray for you.

  • @28OUROCKS .. So lack of cellulite is holiness? Fat is sinful? You confirm the whole point I raise here. TX! I think I'll go out on a limb myself to say that you are likely a RF member or wannabe, and that your assumption that I'm convicted by the ramblings of a false teacher who is under the judgment of God Himself for twisting His Gospel is probably one of the most laughable things I've ever been accused of. But it's not funny and I bet I would last far longer on an elliptical than you would.

  • @Rafaeldamian Being fat is a sin because gluttony is the cause. God's word is clear, gluttony is sin! There is such anger and sarcasm in your remarks (which is not from God) that tells a lot about you. Why so angry? As a supposed man of God, shouldn't you use loving, caring words to respond? If you truly think you are RIGHT and Gwen is WRONG I have to ask you? Do you pray for her or just tear her down? A tree will be know by its fruit, so time will tell which is RIGHT or WRONG. God bless!

  • @ziongrl1 But Gwen tears other people down! She totally slandered Mother Teresa. I'd like to see Gwen go to the trenches and pull dying people out! I'd like to see her go to Africa and feed the hungry children. Heck, I'd like to see her go to the burn ward at Schriner's Children's Hospital. Oh yeah I forgot; Gwen thinks they are all like that because they are being punished for sin, or the sins of their forefathers! Talk about unloving!

  • @ziongrl1 If Rafealdamian is correct, then his anger is a righteous anger. Jesus was angry when the temple of God was being misused and showed it.

And Gwen is wrong when she says that being obese is not a disease. For most it is not, but there are some that have a slow or inactive thyroid gland and that causes them to gain weight. So, there for you saying tat being fat is a sin because it is due to gluttony is wrong as well.

  • The principles of the book seem fine. But be careful following a "Spiritual Leader" who denies the Trinity and starts her own church with followers who failed on this diet, to give them more attention and support. May your pounds fall away, without you falling away from the gospel. Don't be a part of Shamblin's remnant... She says focus on God, but who is her god?

  • @bereansearch People failed at this diet?? 30,000+ pounds lost and kept off for years, not to mention other addiction that have been laid down. Have you been to this church to make such assumptions? Probably not. Who do you listen to, people who left this church? Well I can find anybody whose left a church and would say bad things about that church. As for the Trinity, ask God, he will show you the truth... it is man-made and not from Him. Gwen's god is The ONE and only God of the universe.

  • @bereansearch Very good point. I wish I have NEVER gotten involved with it. It is good to get away from it but it was hell when I first left, the people were horrible to me. I would have been better off not to join at all just go join Thin Within. Her God is God of self and she is building her own kingdom. She is a master manipulator and she gets her members to work for her by using God as a manipulative tool.

  • @bereansearch You are right. Everything was fine for me before I joined her church. I loved her program doing it on my own then I joined her church and it was like hell. They "smack your hands" and henpeck you almost constantly. No matter what you do they always find something wrong with it. The leaders are considered blameless and never apologize for hurting your feelings and she supports them in their bad behavior. It is sick. Her God is GWEN!

  • I have lost 100 pounds on my own. Right now I am going through so much. Life circusmstances are taking a hold of me and food wants to be my release. I need to lose another 40-50 pounds to reach maintanence. I am reading this book. I need to get a hold on my food addiction and incorporate God in this journey. I am a Christian and I have not turned to God as I should. I KNOW how to eat right. I am NOT going to use the book as a BIBLE ; just as a guide.

  • That's where the problem is, Pota. That's where it starts. Before long, you'll be confronted with the inevitable seduction: to accept as Gospel every observation that Shamblin, the author of the book, will make to drive wedges between your friends, your family, your church, and even your own conscience. This is a book fraught with it's own unique ways of snaring your critical faculties and shutting it down. There's little meat to spit off the pure bone in these pages ..

  • Before I started Remnant I was 20 pounds under weight because i was in control of when I ate and sometimes I would skip meals just because I was too lazy to make something to eat. I would also eat way too much in one sitting both of these are wrong. I was taught by Gwen Shamblin, eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Now I am at a healthy 170 lbs and no longer sick after a meal. The remnant also helped me to stop smoking marijuana and over drinking. This is all glory to God!

  • Starving yourself to avoid hellfire is hardly a Biblical doctrine. Preaching that fat people go to hell isn't in the Bible last time I looked either. Maybe in the addled mind of Gwen Shamblin, who has a sick and twisted fear of body fat and thinks it's sinful, this might fly. Maybe in the hothouse called Remnant where Shamblin is beyond question. In the real world, she's been weighed and found seriously wanting. In the next, so will she and you if you don't both repent of this bizarre doctrine.

  • @Rafaeldamian You honestly think she says fat people are stupid? That there going to hell? She doesn't even imply that! Maybe you should READ her book BEFORE you start judging! Stop posting lies on the internet!

  • @txterbyheart .. before you text your own bile out on the internet, maybe you should ask if I have read her junk. I've read EVERY book Shamblin has done. I've listened to hours of her teaching on webcasts and DVD's for years, probably long before you even were out of diapers. Shamblin's dietetic doubletalk is meant to seduce GULLIBLE AND HURTING people who are overweight and wanting change at any cost - and don't realize they are being manipulated and exploited.

  • @txterbyheart She may not say it in the book but she subtly implies it. She is very arrogant. What rafaeldamian says is true. She thinks she is smarter than everyone.

  • @Rafaeldamian actually glutaney is a sin that is in the bible

  • @crissy4162 atrocious spelling obviously not a sin.

  • @crissy4162 .. think this through. What is gluttony? Once having answered that, ask the next question: Is every overweight person a glutton? THINK ABOUT IT.

  • So eating three or four bites a meal for several weeks ISN'T a meal? Riiiiiiight.

Why doesn't RF reach out and do good to those who will NEVER darken the doors of their fellowship? Where REALLY is "the love"

of this twisted group? When's the last time Remnant Fellowship fed the poor of Nashville? When did Remnant Industries go down to help rebuild after Katrina? I don't expect a "ministry" that views its FOR PROFIT marketing of the WDW diet as "evangelism" to be too concerned with that.

  • well it is a small church.

    how much could they do?

  • They could do what millions of other small churches have done across America - band together to serve the needy and turn back some of the misery of disaster. Many churces sent something. I'd like to see what the offering for Katrina victims was in RF's line item budget was the Saturday after the disaster .. Oh wait, I forgot, Gwen thinks hurricanes are all judgments from God and the world is owned by Satan. No wonder they don't give a rip about real needs.

  • @Rafaeldamian How true!! That's what I said. She totally trashed poor dear Mother Teresa's rep. I'd like to see Gwen get down in a gutter and pull someone out. Oh, but she might ruin her manicure. I'd like to see her at least go visit the burn ward at the Children's Hospital. Oh yeah, she probably thinks they deserve it, too, or they are paying for the sin of their forefathers. She has no compassion.

  • @Rafaeldamian They claim they are "non profit" but I don't believe that at all. One gal who left told me she could have been filthy rich if she stayed. And Gwen went down to Florida and shot some videos and made a new seminar and the whole church paid for it and she ripped everyone off. It was supposed to be 10 weeks but she cut it short at 8 and took a vacation...on mine and the churche's dime, obviously. I've been in her house, she lives like she got mixed up with the mob.

  • If "changing the food's content" and "exercising" has not work, why are there MILLIONS more people who do just that and lose weight .. and don't become judgemental cultists filled with fear and hate of the world outside their "church", who socially gate keep who can enter INTO their presence on Saturday nights, who pray for the death of their enemies, and who have more concern with stroking and controlling each other socially with threats of expulsion from their cult?
