The US fired missiles... that stopped the missles already headed for Japan? Something about this level I never understood....

@enclosedinstructions Nah it went like this:

1. Someone launches nuclear missiles at Japan.

2. At the beginning of Sunset Part 1, the US is hesitant to intercept the missiles.

3. At this point, the interceptors are launched but too late to stop all the missiles heading for Japan.

4. Some missiles don't get destroyed and hence hit their target (you can hear the terrified screams just before the missiles impact).

I thought the US was the one that launched the missiles at Japan in the first place? Maybe that was a hidden branch of the military that did that though...

Still though, that comment does add some more meaning to everything. For instance, it puts a rather morbid twist on the line "We won't get to see any fireworks" now that I know that it means "Our country is going to be destroyed"
