  • This is why they are the best ay what they do with all respect!

  • THIS IS WHY RUSSIA CHINA AND ROMANIA ARE BEATING US SEE

  • THIS IS WHY CHINA IS BEATING US! THEY WORK HARD IN AMERICA IF A GYMNASTICS COACH YELLS AT YOU THEY GET FIERD! CHINA IN 45 YEARS WILL OVER UN THE WORLD. IF WE DONT CATCH UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • song please

  • what song is this?

  • @12Essex It's the way these countries work. They want medals, and they do it by really pushing the gymnasts hard at a young age.

  • i feel so bad for the little girls being stretched and especially the one that was crying and the one in the stripes.....:(

  • @eefawesome It looks cruel, but it's better than snapping ligaments or rupturing muscles because you didn't stretch enough. Trust me, after injuring muscle (the scar tissue will never be as strong or flexible as undamaged muscle), I can personally tell you that I prefer the burn of a stretching session about 34087 more. You can get away with poor flexibility in other sports, but you're asking for trouble if you neglect it in gymnastics.

  • @12Essex well what level are you on..and are you on team?

  • hey :) watch our 2 first videos on youtube :)

  • wow that looks painful... respect to all doing gymnastics

  • is that a but extreme for the smaller childern? couldn't it permeantly damage their joints?

  • @pawakin actually they start wen they are children beause thats when they are most flexible

  • I wish people who haven't trained gymnastics would stop leaving their inane comments. I did gymnastics as a kid until I started karate, and in both disciplines it is fucking vital to be well-warmed up and yes, stretched, before you train like this. Bones set easily enough, but snap a ligament or rip a muscle and the subsequent scar tissue will screw you up for life. Better momentary, DULL pain than piercing agony you know signals a horrible injury. Fuck's sake.

  • Yayyyyy a piece of my Ireland!!!, there's been so much time since I heared this song!!!

I love Gymnastics and I love my Ireland!!!

  • i love how the romanians are wearing their countries colors when they are practicing :D

  • child abuse lol nice montage though

  • THIS IS SUCH A GREAT MONTAGE!! OMG!! I LOVE IT!! It's sad that these children have no choice though...

  • great montage!!!!

I love it and the music!!!!

  • wow..

    They're well good :)

    I lovee this musiccc :)

    xx

  • Beautiful montage

  • 4:15 they r not suposed to be able to do that! and i know some of those kids may be exagerating alittle but thats horrible!

  • human is a pupil and pain is his teacher...

  • i would mot like to live in there

  • great video but I feel very sorry for the little crying girl :'(

  • Weet iemand hoe dit achter grond muziekje heet?

  • 5*

    hard work, good training

  • I don't know what you guys are complaining about, when I was watching them , I considered it a cute and determined video!! I thought they looked like they worked hard! You think working your brain is easier if you want an A+ in school!! NOOO!! If their 5, their gonna cry no matter where the are, at home spanked or in gymnastics. Also the stretching that makes them cry, well of course, you have to stay in that position and it will hurt, its not like their crying the whole time in class!!

  • The one at 2:58! I so know how that feels, when I couldn't even do the splits and my Rhythmic coach made us do that! So painful!! xDDD

  • I wonder about the girls who were recruited when they were toddlers, but I think these girls do love what they do. Also, aside from an escape from poverty, it is a wonderful thing to have an activity you are good at. They know they will be champions. I would go through so much to know I'd be a champion on something.

  • 1:21 - that girl has to be 3 years old, and she can do pull-ups better than I can! The flexibility and balance I can deal with, but that strength kills me. Maybe it's because I've seen so many videos of gymnasts doing amazing things that I don't really notice until one does something so ordinary.

  • @Elemarth hmmm....actually as an asian, i think that girl is at least 5

  • the coaches are really hurting the little girls!! thats mean! one girl was nearly crying! they are only like 5 years old!

  • What song is this? My dance is practicing this song too!! Modern dance :)

  • It's from Lord of the Dance.

  • all i can say is OUCH!!

  • they r in pian what the hell are the coashes thinking

  • they are so good :)

  • where do you get all these video clips from???

  • Looks difficult

  • They may train them hard but they make champions. And in there country its a good thing if you get scouted because of poverty.

  • sometime i wonder if these little girls really wont to be gymnasts or do there parents force them

  • wich song is this?

  • I feel bad for these little girls

  • dont.

  • VEry GOOD TRAINING.

  • OMG

  • what son is the first one?

  • Those little kids on the bars looked like they were in pain

  • i think it is so horrible! the way they are training them

  • i agree with that =O

  • holy crap.

  • Some of this I can do. But I cannot have any part of Rythmic gymnastics. I would fall apart.

  • There were actually parts that made me cringe :P

gotta respect people who do this kind of stuff

  • RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:52 those are harder than you think!

  • this video is very nice . !

    i love iit

but ii hate this fuqqing musiik xD

  • whats this song called?

  • I don't remember, but it's from Riverdance. I'd think its title would be something like, "Variations on Simple Gifts."

  • its Lord of the dance

  • good girl on 1:22 and good all rest

  • Wow shit!!

    Amazing!

  • best sport eve.=P and thouse girls work really hard dang no wonder they are soo good

  • any one else think taht sum of the forced stretching scenes are kinda disturbing ? ...

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • long live romania :)

  • best sport ever

  • Is that Tatiana Gutsu at 1:42?

  • yes it is (:

  • Thank you!

  • cool

  • u make it look sooooo easy ITS NOOOOOTTTT!!!!!!!!

  • I'm scared i gonna join gymnastics i think i don't want to do it any more

  • Just don't join it in Romania, Russia or China and you'll be all right. You won't be that good, but at least you won't have to dig down too deep to see what you have to give to the sport.

  • Don't worry, you will love it!! Just go for it & do your best. It si ALOT of un & you meet some really awesome people. You will have a blast!!

  • that shoulder stretch at 4:16 is so incredible. i don't even know how it's possible...

  • pobres niñas...son muy pequeñas...bueno yo puedo hacer eso aunque no sea gimnasta...pero pobrecitas sufren mucho

  • it's not just in china and russia were the hard training is behind closed doors in canada it's tought too!

  • to be honest i like the pain it reminds of what i want out of it

  • omg does poor things anmd dey are only like 6 or somtin i do gymnastics but it isnt dat tough sodont be afraid 2 join it is fun SOMTIMES!!!!!!!!!!!! somtimes it almost herts u 2 death haha lolz no it doesnt but somtimes it is really hard and THE PAIN

  • they don't seem to be having fun which to me makes the whole thing a little pointless :-/

  • Poor kidz. I really like that they're trying so hard. Even though they maybe don't want.

  • what the hell? and i thought Capoeira was hard, this video just gave me a whole new respect for gymnasts.

  • Gymnastics really pushes your mind and body to its limits. Respect to these girls and guys who train so much

  • actually thats pretty normal stuff. i do that every practice except those kids are way too young to go through that.

  • there so young thats no fair

  • Actually, no one is really double jointed. They're just really flexible. ;)

  • i no it takes major pain 2 be da best. but my heart kinda broke watching these lil girls in pain. idk its just me, but i dont think i could ever watch my kid go though dat kind of pain n push them harder 2 be da best

  • This look more like punishment than anything else. All the pain and effort that is takes makes me wonder whether it is the child that really wants to do it, or is it the parents that push them. Either way, it is the most impressive and complex sport ever.

  • i am a gymnast and gymnastics is the best thing thats ever happened to me :):):)

  • wat is dat thing the girl is holding onto in 2:34

  • she is holding a weight, with a matt so it doesnt dig into her back

  • it looks realyy hard

  • I wish gym coaches would teach the kids to use their muscle strength to protect their knees in those over splits.. i used to do oversplits and it took me a while to figure out how to protect my joints while stretching.

  • the girl in the very front at 0:22 is dead now from doing a yourkoshi vault

  • tokiohotelrarw, no she's not. That's Andreea Isarescu and she hurt her knee on a vault but she is not dead.

  • they know how to do that arm trick i can do the one that they do at the end when they connect their arms and bring them to their back without letting go. did they push them to learn that or r they naturally doublejointed

  • this is my friedns floor music!

and im a gymnast for a 11 and half year and a level 7 and it was the best!

those spilts hurt but u get use to them so its worth it at the end b.c it makes u better

  • omg! My friends in this!!!!!! WTF?

  • is this the typical gymnastics training?

I started gymnastics nearly 5 weeks ago but am only in recreation and am wondering if this is what i should expect?

  • if ur on recreation u probably wont get pushed 2 hard

  • No, if you are in recreation. You won't be expected to do everything here. Rec gymnastics is just for fun anyways. If you decide to go competition, then expect this. Good luck with whatever you decide to pursue.

  • xxkerienexx - i know you asked this question a long time ago lol but if you're still in gymnastics and hoping to start a competitive team soon, then yes, this is what you should expect for the most part. competitive gymnastics is the hardest sport in the entire world, but it's SO worth it. it's beautiful and amazing and (although this video doesn't show it) lots of fun! :) hope you're enjoying recreation!!

  • i love the music. All i know is that if they didnt train that hard the possiblity for injury would be far greater, especially when it comes to the complexity of the tricks they are throwing.

  • And why do you visit gymnastics sites when you don't like it so much??!

  • Why are you all acting like you know everything??? Most of you don't even train gymnastics and you say here some things that it's child abuse. It's not. It's a beautiful sport, but it takes time and strength and everything. And nobody is taken away, they do it because they wanna do it. Heh.

  • you're right in a way, but in china, the children are in gymnastics because if they make it to the olympics they'll bring honor to their family, and they won't be poor anymore, and they'll be able to pay their parents back for all the money they spent on gymnastics.

  • This is abuse really, Cause most of them are being forced to do this, which i disagree with.

I also disagree that when they're crying they continue to stretch them.

I as a ballet dancer, know that if i feel pain when stretching, you stop, Its dangerous to continue.

    BUT

I like how you showed them smiley too. :)

  • It is very hard, but very nice sport...

  • This Used To Be My Routine Music. :)

  • most of the girls have no choise in weather or not they become gymnasts or not. in china, at least, the girls are picked out and taken away at age three. they push thoes girls so hard but it also makes their teams stronger. it aint child abuse but i do feel sorry for that one little chinsses girl that was pushed past her limits in the over split.

  • says who, they have no choice.

most of these girls come from extremely poor families in china, its their families that decide whether or not they go to these sports schools to live better lives then the ones they are currently living. and if you do wanna be a world class athletes you do in fact have to train hard, like they are training now

  • did u not understand what it was that i said? i said that they have no chiose. did u not read my first sentanse?

  • @yuanzheng and yet american gymnasts do just as good. and they may be pushed but not nearly as hard as thoes girls.

  • i deffinetly do not agree with some of you. yes these girls have hard lives because of their training but i think they know the choices they made the things they gave up. theyre dreams are to go to the olympics and be the best gymnasts they can be...and this is how they get there.

  • Child abuse.

  • awesome!

  • 2:50 - 2:59min!

I think, it isn't good, to practise SOOO MUCH the real hard things ...

They're just kids!! Just little kids! They aren't perfect and they won't be it ever!

    Poor kids ... :(

They're good, yes ... but their lifes are just hard ...

  • pottergirl7 I totally agree with you!!! They don't know that gymnastics is really hard, harder than football. They just run and try to put the ball in the goal, but gymnastics is a lot harder!!!

  • Yeah, and football players wear so much protective padding. Gymnasts, when you're competing its just you, a leotard, wrist support (for some events) and whatever bandages you need. So when you fall, and fall hard, it leaves plenty of marks.

  • Gymnastics is not easy, but to say that it is harder than football - or compare it to high impact and contact sports is a bit much.

  • actually, no. the longer you do gymnastics the more beat up youre body becomes. with every sprain, pull, break, fracture, or any injury, gym gets harder.

  • It does get easier, but in a way that, you know your limits on certain things.

  • hahahah it's so funny that you can even compare gymnastics to football. do football players train 7 hours a day? are you homeschooled so that you can practice football? nope. i bet you can't throw a layout on beam, but i'm pretty sure i can catch a football. that's all :)

  • All sports are insanely hard at the world's top level. You might be able to catch a football decently, but that also means everyone else can do that, you need to be better than the others, and that's what counts.

People go to special schools for every sport, There are sport schools (8h+ training/day) in my area for tennis, judo and football (soccer for the US) that I know of.

That being said, I like gymnastics a lot better than those sports (alas, no club for adults around :( )

  • aaw thats sad and funny at thee same time

  • YES she was crying it must have hurt ALOT i know from experiece

  • For some reason, I think that most girls if they're a gymnast, their upper body is really big and since I'm a gymnast though a male one, (just started a while ago) thought that was kinda weird.

  • gymnastics is underestimated by silly footballers who think they have a tough life-well they don't! I wish some of the footballers (and other people) could come to a session of gym and see just how hard it is!

  • i completely agree! these two guys took a tumbling class at my gym on a dare haha they didn't last an hour and that was just tumbling.

  • lol-weaklings, they think they know it all =]

  • i guess its ok

  • ooo never mind.. i didnt now that there was rhthmics gymnastics involved... ya it would hurt

  • 2:02 .. is she crying? why?

  • I totally agree with ChelleAmy!

It is true! My coach always tells us we will never acheive what we want unless we do it the hard way!

  • 2:01 was da worst

  • wow loved it

the little girl in the strippy to wow

    she has skill

    and she can bend

    !!!

  • poor children... its like torturing

  • no it aint

  • true-havent thought of the other way around, they really love the sport and this is what it has to come with it

  • Honestly tsamanth, it often isn't because the child loves it, I mean at that age no child knows what they want to do, not really. Parents are all too often the "motivation" behind it. To be a top class Gymnast you often have to go through hell, the results are amazing no doubt and I can't judge if it's all worth it in the end, but to say that they do it all because they "love the sport" isn't acurate in my opinion.

That aside, they are some of the most amazing atheletes!

  • so true!

  • yuo,im going to thoses types of classes alot of pain.

  • poor children

  • Gymnastics is hard work - I know through doing it myself and it never gets "easy". What's sad though, is that very few make it to the "Big Stage". However , their hard work is never gone to waste - the feeling of satisfaction when you go further up the levels chart, is amazing.

    Briliant video.

    Chelle x

  • also if that person wants to be great at gymnastics they know from the start its hard work...so they just dont give up.....because in the end they have reached there goal....thats wat makes them happy....:]

  • i think they like it but they know that they have to work very hard to reach there goal........to when a gold

  • Every time I see this, I feel so bad for the girl in the black and white striped shirt. She hates it! I think it's so mean to do to a child.

  • I feel so bad for the girl at 2:01. She looks like she is in so much pain and is trying to push his hands away. How can that possibly not injure them.

  • Katie Masie, thats exaclty what my wrestling coach tells me

but its also about cheating the team

..hes an amazing person really he is

Im thinking about getting back into gymnastics

I saw a doc of dominique dawes and realize i missed it..

i adore shawn johnson to =]

  • I like the montage but the music kinda ruined it no affense

  • whats the music!?

this is really good, my sister did this she found it hard but it made her champion.

    i believe in the saying:

if you cheat in conditioning your only cheating yourself!

    good montage

  • i think the music is irisch music.. surch for 'the lord of the dance'.. i found it there.. good luck:)

  • arrrrgghhhh they are really cute xD

  • I think good training makes you a better gymnast, but what if all that they have been working up for ( egtting gold at olympics or whatever) , well what if they don't make it. :s What happens then??

  • they get killed.

  • nothing.

  • oh and for those who say they are pushing the girls to hard... what do you expect its gymnastics, if you dont have tough skin you will never make it. This is typical training in other countries outside of US. ITs not abuse, its good coaching!

  • yes i do remember this... i was a gymnast in Russia, and this is all to familiar! It makes champions though and I cant say I hated it all the time, just some of the time! ha but great montage.

  • omg the poor babies!! those little girls are no older than like 6 and the coaches are practically trying to break their legs just to get them flexible!!! have they no sympathy??!!

  • ***eats chips, and puts beer on his belly and balances out*** wat, i can do better!!!

  • Poor Kids

  • lol

  • I love the music!!!!
