  • It all runs so sweetly. Very nice

  • hi very cool vid, now i have to aks you, were did you get that 08 class diesel shunter?

  • @JD41796 Its either a Hornby or Bachmann still available from your local friendly hobby store !

    Thanks for Watching

    Hollpoll

  • You have an incredible layout here, really inspires me to get back into my railway modelling but the reason why i stopped was because i just didn't have enough time to build layouts and keep them maintained, and i have a very limited amount of space in my house. I'm thinking about just setting up a layout using one of the Hornby track mats, they're pretty basic but it's saves time in having to actually design and build my own custom layout. Once again, you have an incredible layout here.

  • your layout is great, so are your vids

  • love your layout sub me please

  • That's a very nice layout you have, and you have a great collection of engines and rolling stock.

  • Don't you dare convert to DCC. Invention of the devil !!!

Thank Heavens for Hammant and Morgan et al.

    Great watching Stuart,

    regards from YJ.

  • Whats wrong with DCC? I run both DC and DCC and can see the benefits of both! The Devil has his hand in all aspects of model railways. Especially when a loco derails for no particular reason in a hard to reach place!!

  • @philxbx

i dont think DC will go out of fashion,

DCC needs DC, and both are great earners

  • that's a very nice setup, how big is your layout? i've only an 8x4 am just starting to build.

  • I too have just started an 8 by 4 but it is suprising what you can get out of it

  • ha great vid what make are the cattle vans

  • Yeah nice, couple of good old clocks in the background to!

  • nice train set you got there

  • srry i cant spell for beans and yes No.55 he curently resides at the bluebell railway.

  • Stepney was actually a real locomotive numbered 55 i think

  • Yes an L.B.&S.C.R. a1 terrier

  • hey is that boxhill aka the inspiration for stepney from the railway series in that vid?

  • No. Stepney in the railway series was based on the real "Stepney" on the real Bluebell Railway. Boxhill is a terrier like Stepney, but not Stepney's base engine.

  • hi nice vid

    do you have dcc??

    if so wich one??

    thanks tom

  • Hello Tom

Thanks for the comments. No I do not have DCC have been agonising for some time over when if ever to make the switch. A lot of my locos are DCC ready but theres a hell of a lot that aren't and therein lies the problem plus rewiring the layout doesn't turn me on either. I guess at some stage we may be forced to make the change but until then guess I'll stay as I am.

  • @hollpoll

good to know your still DC,

they still make DC trainsets - so its not going away any time soon,

plus children dont really say to their parents oh mommy, please could i have a DCC hornby train set for xmas,

children like cheap tricks and hornby DC is the way to go until they are old enough to go DCC like many adult modellers

  • @hollpoll I had my layout wired for DC then changed to DCC and did nothing in regards to removing gapped rails etc. just threw in a toggle switch to select either DC or DCC, this way my grandkids can run on DC (Thomas and Gordon) and ME on DCC.

  • very nice, are those lner loco's V2's?? I'd love to see a video with those in!! Thanks and take care

  • one of thems flying scotsman
