You guys should check out Blaze' solo career, it's a lot heavier than Iron Maiden, sometimes almost thrashy, but still very melodic.

I don't mind this allbum. It's not that bad. Personally, my least favorite album by far would have to be "Virtual XI". That album is just really wierd and the lyrics are pretty childish: "Don't you think I'm a savior. Don't you think I could save You." Come on you guys. That doesn't hold a candle to "And his eyes are ablaze. See the madman in his gaze!"

But The X Factor is probably the better of the two Blaze albums. For the size of the shoes that Blaze had to fill, he did a pretty good job.

I woulnd't even call them metal fans, they probably just listen to Number of the Beast and Run To the Hills, they know nothing about Maiden. The X Factor is with out a doubt their best album from the 1990s, far superior than NPFTD or FOTD.

cause he rly couldnt cover all of maiden's older stuff as well. maidens got a deticated fanbase thats willing to get wat they want. i mean, x factor was made for blaze. but since he wasnt as good with maiden's older stuff, rumors spread and now people say he sucks. he wasnt as good in maiden, but hes a great singer.

Pretty cool video with quite the theatrics for an album launch party..Nicko must be in party mode, though, because at 1:50-1:53 he wonders what track the ladies confession booth represents..that must be "Judgement of Heaven" since it has to do with religious confession! sign of the cross is one of theee best songs from the 90's thanks to steave harris same as caught somewhere in time in the 80's ,bruce was just a singer and not the best singer at all he did ok with his solo stuff but only 1 or 2 songs were good in each album not like v11 or x factor where every song was amazing apart from angel n the gambler wasnt 2 good at the end of the day maiden is maiden who ever the singer is the music is the best part of maiden and allways will be

You see, Bruce left Maiden thinking he would become Uber-successful as a solo artist, but Bruce's solo stuff sucked and didnt sell good, so in 99 he finally realized "hmmmmm maybe I should have never quit Maiden" and there you have it. Real simple.

I think you haven't heard Bruce's solo stuff. He wasn't the core of Maiden or anything like that but if you compare the X Factor and Virtual XI to Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding I think it's obvious who was writing better music in the 90s. But yeah Steve is generally a better writer it has to be said when you consider his stuff from the 80s. So yeah, it's a stretch to say he had some big realisation and went back, it was a mutual thing.
