@unknownpromoter TRUE AMERCAN MARINE!! The Army has 'soldiers'..LOL..This Devildog, everytime he speaks publicly, note that he is ALWAYS on the verge of losing his bearing!! Marines ARE a 'different' breed from the rest..one would have to have served to understand this Devildogs' temper and tempo as he speaks...and btwa lil history not spoken about, the USMC was born a year BEFORE the 'independence' of 1776..want to know why? WE ARE the 'secret militia' of checks and balances..
@unknownpromoter Cont. the 'credibility' you speak of is NOT new..or at least it SHOULDN'T be..Veterans have been speaking out for DECADES..what will scare most is the inevitable outcome MOST Marines see coming..a REAL LIVE warzone or 'revelution' to 'take back' our Constitution. Most civilians in the U.S. cannot phathom tanks rolling down their neighborhood streets..by this time it will be to late for civilians to take action, thats why god gave you REAL MARINES, its a mind set
How do you define "Died for nothing"? Substitute "something" for "nothing" and these folks are still dead and God help the wounded ones... How Vietnam. Think their wounds would bother them less if we had "won"? What about Panama? Oh, we won there! Or a hundred other places. Won... Lost... Died for "something"! This is just emotional spin to confuse the hearts and minds of good people. Wouldn't they all be better off if they had never been in this? Wanna help keep them safe? Bring 'em home!!!
I'm IVAW and I dont support immediate withdrawal. I'm with shay on this. I joined IVAW because I feel its the best group for me right now. But I know this war is all about profits. Not spreading democracy to countries that didnt ask for it.
I've done 2 tours in Iraq with the USMC and my younger brother is on his first with the US Army. Neither of us support the war but to pull out w/o cleaning up the mess thats been made by Bush makes every death for nothing. It is my opinion the IVAW distorts the truth about what happens there. I hope that everyone here can be open minded.
Shay, it's too late brother, those 4,000 of our brothers and sisters already have died for nothing. I suggest you and your brother get the fuck out of the military before you die for nothing as well. Clif, OIF1
I'm not getting out. The military is the best thing that happened to me. Before I joined up I was a kid who every cop in my hometown thought would end up doing hard time. But the military help me change my life.
I refuse to believe that all the friends I've lost over there died for nothing. If we cut and run now they will have died for nothing. I say lets win this war, it can be done.
"Cutting and running" will make things a lot better for all the soldiers and marines who will be rotting in the dust next week, all because some rich boy thought it would be cool to conquer a country.
Hey Shay, not speaking against your opinions but just wanted to add something. I come from a military family (dad, 2 brothers and myself active duty Air Force) so I think I understand a bit of where your coming from but I dont agree. Their deaths will not be for nothing if we do whats right and leave. They fought and died to protect our freedoms. Our political structure and those in charge manipulated our Armed Forces and continue to do so. We must protect our military men and women.
Not if, in leaving, we agree that we'll stop violating the Constitution (that every servicemember swears an oath to support and defend) by invading countries like Iraq.
I used to think similar to shay494, about at least trying to clean up our mess and leave it a better place. But it seems things are FUBAR rather we stay or not.
I totally disagree with the "death for nothing" statement though. Sending more troops in their honor to a pointless war, many of which will also die, isn't reasonable. It's letting your emotions get the best of you.
Its about time people from IVAW started talking about the legal & Constitutional issues of the illegal war instead of gay pride, sexual harassment, socialism, racism, legalizing pot, etc. Too bad it took so damn long.
Good video, hope allthese guys will side with the people when it all goes down!!

Oh we can win it, with nuclear weapons, but guess what, that's never going to happen. You're dreaming man.

And do you think cutting and running will make things better?
