  • Then stop drawing prominences on the invisible magnetic waves. We should be able to see much more by making that simple change. It's hard to get away from old hiding tricks, isn't it?

    Dave aka doowop62

PS: there were no waves being drawn on the Sun in 1953 when Kuiper published, 'The Sun,'

  • I SUELI DO R.CORREIA IRWIN AFRAID MY HUSBAN MAX 2 WEEKS WENT TO WORK IN NEW YORK DONT COME BACK BECOUSE DEMAGE ELETRONICT WELL I SAY THANCK GOD HAVE NASA FOR ALERT US I LOVE YOU NASA

  • This was cool :) Yay. However @Ultra4 from 2 years ago. the Mayan calendar is the most accurate calender of space activity we have :) NASA uses it... check it out Science is Fab even thousands of years ago ... tee hee

  • and KN0W1N6 is half the battle...

  • awesome work =)) good job keep it up congrats

  • @Ultra4 how can people like you say that. You have the gall to say that and pretend you believe in God. I will educate you where he tried to mislead and lie to you. On December 21st 2012 this little thing you might have heard about know as the PROCESSION OF THE EQUINOX ends, entering us into the Age of Aquarius. Where it is said human beings will experience absolute enlightenment. I. E. Legal pot.

  • why does he say their cameras are 4k by 4k pixels, that's only 4 megapixels..

  • @Nogert

that's 16MP. 4k x 4k. But thinking in NASA stuff, this could be greater...

  • (N)ever (A) (S)traight (A)nswer

  • The sun is definetely a fascinating field of study.

  • Anyone know name of the song ?

  • They say microwave frequency cuts right through the brain like butter; is that why so many people are having melt downs?

  • Cool!

  • when they said "one measures what the magnetic field does" do they mean how it effects the matter in its vicinity?

  • amazing

  • r u serious?

  • medication now?

  • @JohnnyFeverLives - NASA is awesome.

Why don't you just blame the FBI?

  • I wonder what they think will happen with solar flares in 2012.

  • pretty much... nothing.... 2012 is a like a random date like many many other ends of the world, when nothing happened, and as soon as they pass people forget and look up the next date and there will be many more dates... dude, focus on real issues, true science is dozens of times better than those fairy tales

  • @Ultra4

    Well said, totally agree.

There's too many people (including those in positions of power and influence) that are all too willing to suspend logic and learning and go believe in all this 'end of the world sh*t.' Medievalism and witchcraft went out of fashion a very long time ago.

  • heh yeah but willful ignorance is todays TOP fashion lol. o well. many people are sheep in a way. at least we can point them in GOOD directions and not bad ones...

  • your ignorance is obvious, 2012 isn't the end of the world, it's the end of an age and the beginning of a new one you're also too ignorant to realize that NASA was founded by Freemasons and Nazis, why don't you google Jack Parsons, founder of the Jet Propulsion Lab and find out what "fairy tales" he believed in

go read a book you might learn something

  • This is big... if we could really answer ..what push the earth? what keeps the earth on track? what hold the earth from falling into the sun gravity ?

  • What...? We know why the Earth doesn't fall into the sun lol

  • LOL fail.

  • @haguylerman

    You cannot be serious.

  • That's cute. Really?

  • @haguylerman

Earth doesn't fall into the sun because of the balance between gravitational mass of the earth and the sun in relation to our orbital velocity. Sun's gravity is trying to pull us inwards but our orbit is trying to kick us away. Basically like any orbiting object, we're 'falling' continuously but since the surface or path is curved we don't actually impact. Same reason why satellites stay orbiting the earth.

  • @TK42138 and same as the moon

  • Absolutely correct.

  • @TK42138, - the gravitational mass of the earth and sun, and as well as the rest of the solar system, has always fluctuated, and has constantly acreated mass at different rates, the sun sucking up millions of comets, asteroids, etc, etc...therefore, there is no balance between mass, velocity and gravity.

btw, human produced satellites, in time, fall back to earth.

  • Cheers,

but surely this mass acretion effect is tiny compared to total original mass?

If the earth gains mass by approx 4million tons a year due to cosmic dust and meteorite accretion then our orbital velocity should be slowing gradually and therefore we should be moving closer to the sun?

    This is a fascinating subject.

  • porque en los primeros 10 segundos del video se ve el sol pero atras se ven las supuestas estrellas, algunas se mueven fuera de lo normal muy rapido, que son esas cosas? si alguien me lo aclara se lo agradezco

  • The first 10 seconds is just a computer-generated computer animation. It's not actual camera footage.

  • Great knowledge, awesome video. Thank you for sharing with the world.

I will share this video on the Human Progress collection at Thoughtware (dot) TV

  • Thats some crazy stuff.

  • He says they will be able to predict what the sun will do.

    NASA to NASA phone call.

    "Hello is that Bob?"

"Why yes it is, whats up?"

"I was looking at the Sun just now and there is a deadly CME coming that will wipe out life on Earth in just under 6 minutes".

"OMG ! What are we going to do"

"I'm going to have boiled an egg"

    XD

  • insane

  • amazing!

  • SDO is gonna be awsome!!!

  • camon nasa need to study the moon - show us the aliens on it! stop conspiracy! why cant we find any hd pic of the moons surface ? becuz NAsa cover ups

  • @losbergs2 Buy a telescope and look for yourself!!

  • i will! i have wanted one for years!

  • After all the exploring i have done on the moon, i still haven't found any 'aliens' ...

honestly mate, don't get your hopes up..

  • There *are* HD pics of the Moon's surface. Just google in "JAXA Moon Surface HD".

  • Great videos!

  • Thank you NASA

    this looks Mint

    love it.

  • Maybe we will find links between solar weather and weather on earth to help us predict our weather.

  • We cant predict our own weather on earth..

hopefully it will give us at least a 12 hour warning though

  • COOL

  • cool

  • Wow nicely made!

  • Damn not processed yet. :/

  • It is processed now, try again.

  • Hm, 720p is not available yet. :/

  • Are you sure? There is no option to choose quality.

  • I noticed as much. ;) but i was hoping for HD quality.
