@DANEVOXXII I didn't miss anything. Sex is not a cheap and uninspired expression of love. If you're trying to push that point then I didn't miss a thing, I just don't believe you.
@DANEVOXXII Sex is an activity. A nice one, a fun one, a life-changing one sometimes, but an activity. Not an object. Sex is not an alternative to art of music or any expression of love. I mean, if you play table tennis with a romantic partner, is it "stressing another form of expression"?
@Sayuyagami1001: Yes, fool. Sex is not to only means to let a person know you care. In a more conservative life-style, one does not have sex with family and close friends to show he or she cares. While sex is an obvious way to express love, it is not the only way. And in a country that cheapens the act with reality tv and sex-tapes, we can use a reminder of expressions that are simpler and more pure.
@Sayuyagami1001: Your arguments are contradicting. You said sex is not cheap and uninspired. You claim it is life-changing, but it is an activity. Your use of the word "but" indicates that sex is a life-changing, yet meaningless act. I assume that when you state it's not alternative form that you meant it is the primary form. Yet, it's just an activity.
Then you compare it to another activity, table tennis. Does that make table tennis less, more, or as profound?
@Sayuyagami1001: Ah! My first use of "but" in the previous comment is flawed. Strike that and and the comma that precedes it and insert a period in its place.
@DANEVOXXII I don't know what part of the conversation you are missing. me: Abstinence only education is BS. you: stupid people say that. me:no, stupid people say "abstinence only education works" you: i dont understand...don't know how i can make it any more clear for you. you have to be stupid to put faith into a 98% failure rate.
@DANEVOXXII Haha, i got you, i live in China and they are probably one of the most sexually conservative people, their AIDS victims are proportionally half that of my homeland the UK, and it doesn't take some religious ads to do it.
I have been married for 25 years. My wife and I both remained virgins until we married. We are both so fortunate for that. No memories of anyone else - no expectations to live up to - no emotional regrets. Best of all, we saved for each other something very special. Take it from someone who has lived long enough to know, abstinence is worth it and very possible. Just a little self discipline and a decision to save for marriage what should be saved for marriage.
@rebew2: thnx for the comment. it really brings hope to ppl looking for more wholesome choices. what you said was personal and mostly unbiased and totally respectful. happy silver-jubilee.
@MrMetallidude: i'm not forcing you to practice it nor am i forcing you to comment on this video. in fact, i don't recall inviting you to see it. in the words of jim jefferies: "quit your bitching and join the soccer team."
@MrMetallidude : if you got an opinion, please be respectful. i got enough comments with unsubstantial backing that claim i'm some sort of anal-retentive conservative.
what's ridiculous is the amount of ignorant ppl that believe in their right to procreate and spread disease on the basis that they like to do so. if our "likes" and "dislikes" were enough justification for anything, then it'd be okay to be bigots and obese.
@DANEVOXXII Actually, it wasn't my intention to be so disrespectful at all, from the beginning. When I wrote that comment I was actually quite upset over something and i happened to find this clip during that time, so I just happened, by mistake, take it out on this video. Usually I'm much more respectful - even to stuff i really, really do not agree with. I feel like I should apologize here for y behavior: I'm sorry I was being so disrespectful. That was from the heart, just so you know.
@DANEVOXXII I usually am much more respectful when I am about to give my opinion in a matter I happen to disagree on. When I wrote that I was actually VERY upset over something and I happened to see this clip and took it out on that. It wasn't my intension to be so rude, it really wasn't. It's like religion: I literally HATE religion, but I don't hate religious PEOPLE. I think religion is an AWFUL system, I really do. But i have to apologize: I am truly, truly sorry. THAt came from the heart.
Everyone is making this such a big deal. If u wanna hav sex hav and dont brag about it... All that these abstinence campaigns promote is misinformation
@Samo762 Respect everyone, of course. You're abseloutly right. The problem with "don't brag about it" implies that it is a lesser choice, which leads to it being shameful, which leads to commercials telling you not to do it.
Abstinence teens are 4 times as likely to take it up the ass and 6 times more likely to gag on it. Fuck i love abstinence, anal with high school girls there is nothing better...
Most women And girls are scared into abstinence from fathers and religion...and its not entirely true about the whole not having std's if u are either.....you can get married and be abstinent...but The male Might Not be Or the Female might not be...so you could still catch an STD......so whats the difference if U dont get married...what if the other person doesnt beleive in a Marrige? No sex forever?! thats crap....seriously abstinence isnt an answer its just a suggestion
Abstinence is a good thing for many reasons. This commercial is really sweet. I just know for a fact that teaching abstinence only will never make things better. I've met people my age (19-20) who don't know what spermicide is or any of the other forms of birth control.
@insertBoringName: condoms do not guarantee to protect a person from crabs and other std's.
abstinence is not only a prevention from pregnancy. i promoted it as a lifestyle towards better living. it's like being vegan. while i won't solely abstain from meat, i am willing to eat tofu on occasion....
"abstain from meat"... i'm hilarious... no homo... not that i am not pro-homo... oh no. damn.
@insertBoringName: np. it was just an idea. i understand the facts of human nature. i guess it was more of thinking with your brain than with your genitals. you know? take it slow. take your time before you **** someone and regret it.... and then get an std or pregnant. lol.
@DANEVOXXII Yes, but like being a vegan, abstinence is somewhat impractical. Better living, my ass. It's a well documented fact that regular sex is good for you.
Did you know that many studies have shown that teaching abstinence-only to teens actually makes them significantly more likely to have unprotected (I repeat UNPROTECTED) sex before marriage than those that were taught safe-sex? Same thing goes for those that took abstinence pledges. Why? Because they were told condoms don't work at all. Don't believe me? Look it up.
Teens will be teens and they will have sex, it's only natural. They should be taught ways to have it safely.
@HippiesAreCoool, lol. sucks to be him. i actually have a friend with a size issue. shes not abstinent, which in her case, i guess she'd make a good argument against it.
Abstinence is stupid. Use condoms and be smart. Get tested often and make sure that your (new) partner(s) is clean before you have sex. What happens if you wait till marriage and you ended finding out that your sex life sucks?
@TheUnmatchedTalent but thats the problem. people put such a heavy importance on sex. you cant build a relationship on sex. if you wait until you're married and you find out your partner isnt all that good in bed, you work with them and you find ways to make sex pleasurable
@kristineurie44, thnx for the insight. it's good to see ppl like/open-minded.
i guess the problem is that many of these ppl are expressing is that they think opposite of you. many ppl believe sex is a key element (which is understandable), but they don't want to talk about it (which is unfortunate). statistically, people are equally likely to break up if the sex-communication is bad.
i knew a guy who's pick-up like was: "got kids? no? good!" it actually worked for the most part.
@DANEVOXXII yes. I'm Christian, and come from a family/culture where sex is only until after marriage. A lot of people today, especially this generation, put such an emphasis on sex, and dont get me wrong, it IS important. But in this day and age where STDs, Teen pregnancies, and broken relationships are just too common
@kristineurie44, i agree for the most part. especially when we base relationships on such superficial things, it's very easy to make sex on of those things.
@TheUnmatchedTalent, i'd rather talk it out if the sex is bad. it might be me or it might be her.
a person can have an std without showing symptoms. last thing you need is for your gf to test negative and in 6 months to test positive. what do you say then? "opps"?
condoms are contraceptives, not body armor that makes one immune of stds. pubic lice is an std. condoms don't block that.
@Acidpunk101, the guy was a buddhist monk who was assumed to reach enlightenment, which was a big issue for those debating religion.
