It is not a recognized Olympic event mostly because it is swum in a 25m vs a 50m pool.

For experienced swimmers this event is basically a challenge of starts and turns.

Not many swimmers enter this event compared to others because you cannot qualify for many teams/Standards with this event.

Still a good race though.

That is totally the 100 IM. I mean look at the time. The world record for the 200 IM is 1:54:23 and that is helped by m.phelps. for the female's the 200 im world record is 2:08:45.

there's no way that that is an olympic sized pool. it's definitely 25 m, not 50! it's a 100 IM. look at the time she got. nobody could EVER get under a minute for a 200 IM. not even phelps.
