I used to complete the balls too. Even the flashing ones. Although I used to get stage fright and couldn't do it in front of my older brother so he never believed me!! LOL!
on the amiga version u could stand still with your shield facing forward and if the ball came from the left side it would rebound off your standing position. dont know if this happens on the c64 version
ahh, i see. :) hmm.. yes on the c64 i think it might be possible if i am into practice again. but on the emulator i admit that i cheatet a little bit - it doesn't work so well with keys...
i think you can't complete that level faster than the balls are coming. ;) but if you have the black belt maybe balls are coming soo fast that you can finish the level in half the time. :)
Slight misunderstanding! What i meant was, i used to be able to complete this level about 25% of the time.
I.e. if i opaly this level 4 times, i would complete it once and fail 4 times. Thats what I meant when i said i can complete it quarter of the time. You are right you cant make the balls come faster.

lol... well in later levels i'd say its near to impossible to complete it, but in the first i managed to do it sometimes.

it depends on the level you are in. i think in higher levels it's faster of course. also there are blinking balls that can change height suddenly.
on a real c64 with a real joystick i'm also better than on an emulator where i captured this video. :)

yah it would be much easier with a joystick (feels much more natural).
Oh by the way i think i was exaggerating it is probably more like a quarter of the time that i could compoelte it.
Yah i remember the blinking ones. Ironically i seem to recall them being easier cause when it gets fast you always block low for those.
At least i think so it was a long time ago!
