  • I've got 70lb I could lose and it still works.

  • Does the fitted shirt work for everyone? I have about 30 lbs that I could probably lose and I feel it just sort of accentuates my gut. What do you think?

  • good video dude. retailers seem to just expect people to know this

  • Wouldn't an HD camera be more Alpha M?

  • Great upload! Finding the correctly cut shirt can be difficult for an inexperienced dresser. Distinguishing between the different cuts and styles will make shirt buying easier water's to navigate.

  • I know this is quite late to ask, but what were you wearing below when you were wearing the super faint blue shirt starting from 1:41? were you wearing jeans? pants?

    THX

  • can some one please tell me what name of this song?

  • 1:18 All my shirts are like that and I don't really know what to do to make them look fit. Please advice.

  • taller eh? sorry mate, but im already six and a half feet. lol.... i wear alot of fitted shirts, and i have the appearance of a few inch difference.

  • This guy is a genius. I took it upon myself to start dressing up and taking more pride in my looks. My wife loves it and she started noticing all the looks i've been getting as well.

  • YES, NAME OF THE SONG!?

  • Comment removed

  • DOES ANY BODY KNOW THE NAME OF THE THEME SONG??

  • Thanks for the advices, Im learning marketing on line, I little sugestion... live the web adress at the bottom center along all the video. Take care

  • I usually shop at Kohls, among others. A Kohls display did show the difference between a regular cut, a fitted cut, and the one cut you didnt mention...the "skinny" cut (though other stores would say, "thin"). There is a clear distinction among the three. Can you update that info on this video?

  • Hi.

I got a question. When you're wearing a shirt which has a light colour like: light blue, light purpple etc., do you were a white undershirt underneath that?

because I tried some times but you can see the under t-shirt so it does not look very nice to me, what do you think?

  • Hello Arron, how do you feel about Marc ecko ? I like them, they are fitted..

  • Great video's, and I have a question.

When shopping for fitted dress shirts, they are the perfect length however the arms are a little short. If I move up to a medium, its to long and baggy. What would you recommend?

  • Aaron, you're the best! Gosh, you explain this so well!

  • IF YOU ARE OF AN ITALIAN OR EUROPEAN BACKGROUND YOU ARE BUILT FOR FITTED SHIRTS. YOU WILL LOOK BEST IN THESE SHIRTS....JOHN HENRY IS A GOOD BRAND.

  • good one :D

  • So hang on, I'll be right back!

  • that light blue fitted dress shirt looks ace.

  • everything looks good on me :P but I have a big problem finding right size instead, either to small or to big, I think if it fits well it looks good, not much design needed actually

  • @SweRaider1993 soooo what you are saying is that if it doesn't fit, it doesn't look good on you.....

  • @AlphaMconsulting no I didnt write that

  • For all of you that have problems to find a shirt that fits off the rack: You need to get a made-to-measure shirt(MTM). If you don't want to spend a lot of money you can use sites like moderntailor. Just order the cheapest shirt they have for round one, correct measures if not perfect, and you are good to go.

  • you should make a video that basically just list all kinds of fashion terms.

because honestly, I'm not to well read on this kind of stuff :(

  • Love the videos; very informative.

I have a slight problem with shirts in that I am very muscular and also very slim. As a result my neck is relatively thick relative to my waist. Even fitted shirts tend to bunch at the waist more than I would like (classic fit shirts are even worse). What would you recommend?

  • @ultimatumjs : I would recommend trying different venues first and if you really can't find anything that seems to fit you just right, then you need to have your shirt custom-made.

  • i like the blue shirt

  • Don't think you deserve only 50 subscribers. Your videos are detailed, informative and awesome. :D

  • I know this might seem silly, but i always have trouble rolling up my sleeves on dress shirts and flannels! One side is always bigger than the other, and even if i do manage to get them even, im constantly pushing them up and i cant enjoy the slightly dressed up look these styles of shirts give off! Its extremely hot in Ontario right now, but i still want to wear more than a t-shirt once in a while. if you could post a video on how to do this correctly, it would fantastic and greatly appreciated

  • very beautiful video.

    I enjoyed it very much.

    friendly greetings........Michael

  • super :-))

  • how about for short guys? lol.

  • You da' ma Aaron. One suggestion: Add a tip jar to your website, so that those of us who are not even hiring you as a consultant can at least give you some added change in your pocket for all the great advice you give us.

  • I believe in some countries "fitted shirt" is referred to as "slim fit" ?

  • i don´t know, which are the etiquette rules in the USA, but in Europe, you shouldn´t stick the t-shirt into the trousers - only village people do so...

  • whats the song at the intro

  • that first shirt you were wearing, the brown dress shirt, you know how there was a lot extra fabric hanging down around above the waist, im having that problem with my shirt but mostly in the back and its not even too big for me like the one you were wearing, it fits me good but i just seem have that extra fabric problem. is supposed to fit like that?

  • whats the name of the song in your intro?

    Thanks

  • can a tailor taper a shurt

  • the first shirt was way too big for you, but i guess that you wanna make a point, and of course a tailord shirt always looks better, i learned this from you aaron, always buy tailord shirts and t shirts, thanks....

  • Hey, great video!!! You really help me out a lot.. I am a 19 year old guy and I'm REALLY skinny.. I'm 6'2 feet tall and only 140 pounds, My face is also really narrow and kinda thin, I have curly hair lol.. Any advice on what I should where or how to style my hair? Thank you in advance!!

  • hey aaron, do stores always have a fitted version of the standards they carry or do i have to go to a store that specifically sells fitted clothing? especially for normal casual clothes not dress shirts/dress pants? cuz im just a regular young student that needs fitted clothes for his normal wear. standards shirts make me look fat and it annoys me cuz it looks weird when paired with my slim arms and legs.

  • ugh...not helpful. i'm looking for the name of this certain type of casual shirt. I think it's and Oxford solid?

  • goood info

  • Thanks for that tips AphaMconsulting .And Aaron u r F***ING hot

  • this was really helpful! What brand do u recommend on the fitted shirt? i have a school dance this week!

  • @5madrid go to a department store like Macy's and ask the sales associate to show you the different bands that come in fitted styles. Pick one you like and try it on

  • @AlphaMconsulting What do you think about Express fitted shirts?

  • @AlphaMconsulting

I'll try this the next time that I'm in Macy's. I haven't been able to find any OTR shirts that really are slim-fitting, but I'm still looking.

  • Hi Aaron-Like what you're doing here. I have to say, though, that I'd like to see you get a wireless lav alier mikeand a front light and a rear (rim or hair) light to create dimension so that your commentary is easier on the ears and eyes.

  • nice one

  • That black jacket and the blue fitted shirt are tight. What brand are they?

  • what kind of shirts would you recommend for skinny guys? i want my shoulders to look wide but i dont knoe what kinda shirt to buy. thanks for helping and great video.

  • Think guys should also buy fitted shirts. The bigger the shirt, the smaller you look.

  • Comment removed

  • But you said in the beginning of this video that extra fabric makes you look heavier :-0

  • @AlphaMconsulting true that. Never let your parents... (well, my parent) buy your clothes when you're skinny. They buy you L sized shirts...shoes..pants...to make me look big? rofl ....sigh...the horrific memories of parents who keep it cheap for clothes that won't ever be worn again.

  • I learned that the last thing thin men should wear is veritcal stripes. Go for solid colors like blue, red, or black, and shirts or sweaters with horizontal stripes

create the illusion of width. Perhaps Aaron might expand on this from a more contemporary POV.

  • V-neck

  • @ledgent go buy some korean styled slim fit t-shirt. Check Yesstyle.com

  • aren't the sleeves too long in both shirts you tried? or they are considered ok that way?

  • hey aaron, what brands of shirts do you recommend that makes good slim fit shirts?? i was thinking of hugo boss...

    what do you think??

  • your fucking hot!

  • fitted def looks nicely

  • Do you buy your fitted shirts online? If so, where, and for how much? Great vid btw...

  • No, i like to try on before I buy. But once you find a brand you know fits and you like, then online would be great. I have a ton of different brands.

  • @AlphaMconsulting what are some of the brands you buy from? (for casual/dress button ups)

  • would you recommend tailoring your shirts so that it fits you nicely???

  • Just buy them fitted or tailored. much less expensive

  • the fitted variant is ten folds better, i really wish more American brands would follow suit.

  • Aaron, videos are great...question can you please tell us how to properly fold up a dress shirt? with a sweater also...thanx

  • are t-shirts and sport coats ok? If so, what are other ways to look nice dressing down?

  • There are times it looks okay, but I'm not a big fan of this look. Too many guys are doing it and I think they tend to look bad. But, I'll do a video

  • have you seen the boondock saints? the only bad part of that epic movie is their urge to wear casual sport coats with an otherwise properly fitted t-shirt. don't do it man, you'll be that guy. think jerry seinfeld. think early 90's when we were emerging from the 80's like bears from fashion hibernation.

  • Le Chateau has a wide selection as well as ZARA what do you think about those

  • I like the buttons downs from Express the most, whats your personal preference?

  • The Express shirts fit pretty well, but the fabric drives me crazy. Even after I take it to the cleaners, it seems that it never looks crisp. Also, not good if you are going to wear a tie. But they come in great colors and patterns.

  • 0:58 Jerry seinfeld! lol

I guess the fitted shirt looks better, i just find having a slim build, narrow chest that it just kinda exaggerates my boyish figure. Hug my narrow chest/shoulders. and the sleeves always look disproportionally wide/fat.. infact it kinda has the same effect on you, but still looks ok. But i do prefer the classic round neck t-shirt.. wider, looser. Even though any fashionable guy wears it fitted, same deal.. i dont like it exaggerating my small narrow build.

  • Vest's? Good or Bad?

  • I always felts something wrong with my regular shirts(the extra fabric around your belly), I never knew about the fitted dress shirt! Thanks for that Aaron!

  • I had the same problem...to fix it, I simply threw out almost everything to the good will. This way, I won't be tempted to wear it. Nothing to wear but stylish stuff :)

  • Do you recommend dress shirts or button down shirts? Or both? I see you don't always wear a tie, wondering if you were changing types of button down shirts for each outfit.

  • Sometimes I wear a tie with a button down dress shirt and some times I don't. You can decide. Just make sure they fit well.

  • I took your advice on the fitted dress shirt...they look and fit fantastic!

  • DUDE! you just solved my life! i finally understand and can name what hell was going wrong with my wordrove lol thanks a lot!

  • thanks i like the tips.

I also want a power look for myself

the look i'm looking for is listen up biaatch or i will slap you. Can you make a video like that.

how do we get in contact with you where is you office at so you could help me get that look.

  • rofl

  • fabulous!! Thx ya mr Aaron, we love u!!

  • Great video very insightful, I actually just started changing my fashion from a rugged suburban look to a classier denim jeans with camp shirt style, I love the difference in how much better I look not only sophisticated but aesthetically as well.

  • how about us? big tummy?

  • ur way of demonstration is great.thanks.ur great

  • i love fitted button shirts specially whites and blacks... they make you look very smart they are considered somewhat gay but i dont mind... they make you look handsome, like fashion designer Rami Kashou always wears fitted button shirts and he looks great...

  • Fitted shirts are good on guys with a slender build. Regular cut shirts look like a circus tent around my waistline and I am so glad to see fitted dress shirts are in style, either tucked or untucked. Who told you that fitted looks gay? Trust me, there are a lot of other things that look gay, but not a shirt that fits a guy's build.

  • wow fashionably challenged..

  • What's you opinion on the differences in shirt collar cuts?

As in straight cut, narrow straight cut, spread cuts etc.

And most of all... the knots people put in ties.

I hate thin tiny knots that look like you were drunk or had your kid wrap your tie around your neck and make up a random knot...

I prefer a nice double Windsor Knot with a silk tie that is heavy in fabric, with a nice spread collar.

    What about you?

  • I agree with you 100% regarding the tiny knots. I'm also not a fan of the latest trend of the skinny ties. If you are wearing a spread collar, you need to have a nice large knot to fill the space and balance the shirt. I always notice how someone knots their tie.

  • Hi Aaron. Me too. The first thing I notice in a man personal presentation is his tie knot. Even more than the tie itself. But I disagree with you about the knot. I used to like the wide symmetrical knots; now I prefer the asymmetrical ones. I use a knot that is called "Cavendish knot", and I love it. I would like to see a video with you discussing tie related topics (Including the bow tie!"). Great vid.

  • Bow tie?? Please say it ain't so. I find them old-fashioned and rather nerdy. Even Tucker Carlson lost his bow tie. To each their own and I don't mean to knock you down. I know people roll their eyes when I wear my cowboy boots. Are there instructions for the Cavendish knot?

  • Your advices are simply awesome. Thanks for your tips; they are clear and very helpful!

  • Thanks for the tips,

By the way you look pretty muscular in a fitted t-shirt :)

  • awesome video. i love the use of examples. wearing the shirts was great, definately helps puts things into perspective.

    ps

request show how pants should look, thanks

  • love the new opening and closing, Aaron.

  • WOW. What a thorough response! I see now the difference in the cuts, and personally I am sold on fitted shirts after watching this. Thanks for your response! Also, I wanted to give you some positive feedback on demonstrating the styles like you did in this video. I don't know about other viewers, but being able to see the difference makes an enormous difference for me.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the advice. Keep up the good work.
