I remember this!!! At 8,000 feet, there was 4 FEET of heavy wet snow! No one could go anywhere. Power was out for 60 hours at my parents' place. Many old trees had broken-down branches. Six months later (Oct 2009), another "perfect storm" covered the same areas. That also gave us 4 feet in the foothills, and 2 feet in Denver.
True--it doesn't look like a foot of snow to me either but it was a BIG storm and I think the total accumulation was greater than a foot. We have had significantly more snow than that storm--including a 30+ incher in Conifer a few years ago.
that doesn't look like a foot of snow. in any case it's way less than what they can get there. at least, we used to get a lot more when I was living there. good video, though. takes me back and wakes up a lot of good memories :)))
