Sorry to seem really clueless, but where is the water inlet on this ree?l also does it come with an extra bit of hose/connectors or are they seperate? I've not bought one yet so not sure how it all works.
The inlet is in the back of the reel at the bottom of the conical shaped recess in the back.
If the reel came with the hose then you will need to cut off a piece of hose from the main reel to go between your tap and the reel. If not then cut a piece of your existing hose. The necessary parts to set this up are all included so you won’t have to buy any extra fittings.
If you have fitted the handle to the wrong side then i,m afriad it cant be removed,
If you can call us on 0121 313 1122 and give me an address i will get a new handle kit posted to you we are here up to 8pm so ring after 6 and you should get through OK . The old one will have to be cut off.
Hi - thanks for letting us know your views on the instructions. We take your comments seriously and in light of your feedback we are working in conjunction with a third party to update and improve the instruction leaflet. We'll let you know when the new instructions are completed. Phill
As previous people have said, the instructions provided are less than useless. I have the "Compact Cart". Have now assembled by using this video and the useless instructions together. However, I need to reverse the handle and the inlet. They are the wrong way round for my use. How do I do this?? The handle connector appears impossible to remove. Damn this contraption!!!
hi Phil - mine has a broken tang on the grey piece the inlet elbow pushes into. How do I go about replacing it ? Obviously the guy at the factory new about it as there was a spare included with the item !
The instructions that come with it are bloody useless and now I need to make another trip out to buy another female fitting piece just so it will now fit to the tap - why don't you supply everything needed with a product. Morons
Hello. If you dont have a suitable feeder hose of your own just cut off a
short length from the main hose (approx 1.5 - 2m) and use this between your tap
and the fitting in the back of the reel. Use the grey nut with the 4 pips on to secure the hose to the reel and a standard female fitting (yellow and grey) to connect
the other end of the feeder hose to the tap connector. Regards Phill
Can you tell me where the water is coming from. Is it pouring out of the back where you have connected the feeder hose to. If so take the hose off and make sure you havent accidentally bent one of the little claws back on itself. If so just straighten it again and push the hose back onto the boss in the middle of the ring of claws and refit the nut.
However, I have just encountered a problem when trying to attach the hose from the tap to the reel unit; I tried using the grey screw onto the back of the unit, attaching it to the screw but after turning the water on after about 5 seconds water just pours out. I've tightened it but no use. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks , but it would have been more useful if you also did some explanations on connecting the main water inlet to the equipment .

You mentioned needing a standard female fitting (yellow and grey) to connect to the tap. Does this come with the hose or do we need to buy one?

Thank you, Phill, that was extremely helpful.
I just bought a similar design from B&Q and was completely flummoxed by their useless instructions (consisting of six pictures and no words).
Thanks again!
