I switched to the Skyrocket and loved it but the battery life was deplorable. As a business owner, I need a smartphone that is going to last longer than half a day if I'm out for a full day. So I returned it and went back to my iPhone 4S, but this phone looks AWESOME. I truly hope the battery is long-lasting, and hope a mod can help. Can you advise?

Now this is because, simply put, using your phone is going to use battery regardless of what mod or app you have. In fact, according to my usage, the screen brightness is one of my largest battery consumers. With that being said, there are ways to attenuate your battery usage(lowering screen brightness, disable wifi, disable 4g/HSPA+...) can help significantly.

A way to solve your problem is by carrying around a little external charger/battery to quick charge while you are in a meeting or somewhere where you can't take a call and use your phone. I hope that they deal with the battery issue instead of increasing specs, but its most likely going to fall upon deaf ears because they are all about pumping these phones full of specs..because it markets and sells
@OwenKnowsTech Yep, did that too. Found a great one online, it's a portable little white battery charger. You charge it, and then you can carry it around with you and plug it into your phone and charge your PHONE with IT. Way cool. I have a few for my iPhone too. The iPhone is no longer leading the way; Samsung is...I love their innovation and will be switching if they can extend the battery. Thanks again!

I'm still rocking my i9000 sgs 1, I love it, I hate the fact that it does look much like a 3gs, infact that's the main reason i'd like sgs 2 but i guess i may as well wait for the sgs 3 now, thing I love about my sgs 1 though is that now that i'm running a custom rom the bettery can last 2 days quite easily, where as the sgs 2 even, would struggle with one day

@133423q Tough question. Depends on a ton of things. When is contract up; how much money do you have to spend, do you mind waiting a few months? Overall i just tell people to go get the phone they want now...take good care of it, and if you really want to, just sell it on ebay or craigs and buy the new phone off contract. You will probably pay close to the same, considering you use funds from selling your old phone, as if you were to buy it on contract.

I don't think 3d is really an option. The only 3d tech that doesn't require glasses require the user to be in a set position relative to the screen (e.g. Nintendo 3ds) which would be cumbersome for a phone. And I can't see how you could accomplish the task of displaying a different image to each eye any other way with the current technology. What exactly are the Koreans working on?

@133423q Tough question. Depends on a ton of things. When is contract up; how much money do you have to spend, do you mind waiting a few months? Overall i just tell people to go get the phone they want now...take good care of it, and if you really want to, just sell it on ebay or craigs and buy the new phone off contract. You will probably pay close to the same, considering you use funds from selling your old phone, as if you were to buy it on contract.

Oooooh ye. It's gonna be a a beast of a phone when it comes out. :D I'll probs never use my laptop again or at least not nearly as much as I used too. I read on a website tho that they were gonna have a 16 mega pixel camera. If it did... Wow.... **drool** :L Another thing that would be good would be if they could have a flip out keyboard. I like a qwerty keyboard. A fingerprint sensor like my motorola atrix. And a mini projector for impromptu cinema screenings :L Ahhhh. I guess I can dream :).

I don't think 3d is really an option. The only 3d tech that doesn't require glasses require the user to be in a set position relative to the screen (e.g. Nintendo 3ds) which would be cumbersome for a phone. And I can't see how you could accomplish the task of displaying a different image to each eye any other way with the current technology. What exactly are the Koreans working on?

@hkdiva2015 You can get passes to it, as far as I know. All you have to do is go to mobile world congress and look at registration. It is really expensive though so it would only seem that, in general, the general public wouldn't attend.

That image of the phone is SURELY fake & gay. No one would make a touchscreen with no bezel. It would be hard to handle because it will register the touches from the edge.
And no, it will not have Quadcore. Dualcore only. Quadcore will not likely enter Smartphones.

I'm not sure how you got the idea that Samsung would consider making it without a bezel. I'd imagine there would be an outbreak of screens breaking. Although unnecessary, quadcore entering smartphones is possible, /bc wat you don't realize is there are tons of people who will buy a phone merely b/c it says quad. Kinda same thing with 4g propaganda on AT&T a while back.

But, the bright side is that you can always get different launchers to change your experience. i'm not too big on touchwiz, id rather have that stock experience.
