Elder Quentin L Cook, an Apostle from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spoke to about 500 members of the Christchurch congregation last night .
Cook is one of Twelve Apostles - the second-highest presiding body in the church - who help govern the Church and its 14.1 million members around the world.
He spent three years with the church in Auckland from 1998 to 2001, and visited Christchurch several times.

I've met a couple of athiests who don't attack relegion but simply don't believe in something they can't see. They note evidence, discoveries & counter-arguments by LDS scholars that have been ignored by critics.

I was waiting to hear him say something about the supposed replica of the Oval Office contained inside the Washington D.C. Temple which the leaders of the Mormon Church will be using once they take over the government. At least that's what popular Mormon critic Ed Decker says, and we know LDS critics NEVER LIE, correct?

The Temple had been under renovation for nearly two years. It is open for tours before it is re-dedicated on May 1.

@54v115 Don't know who Mr. Brown is, but I'm LDS and I'll be happy to answer your question. There is but one God who rules this universe. He is our Father in Heaven, eternal and everlasting. It is the same with my father here on earth. My siblings and I have one father. He was the person who fathered each of us. No one fathered us before, and no one will father us again. And even if we don't speak to him, even when we move away from home, even if we change our names, he's still our father.

The BOM, D+C etc.. do not have the pedigree or authenticity that the Holy Scriptures (BIBLE) have.. we are Gods creations only UNTIL we are born again through Jesus Christ..
