It still has to be murdered and thats where i have a problem, we would not treat our young this way so why should we treat these beautiful creatures any other way, let them live and be free,
"During a pig's 6 month life..." That's sooo sad. And soooo UNNECESSARY. So many plant based options... There really is NO NEED to kill any animals at all let alone under these horrific conditions! Go Vegan!
i wonder if i were one of those pigs, how would i be feeling there? this question alone just makes me shudder. we all have emotions and feel pain and misery and that does include porcines. they dont attack us, they look cute to me, their eyes keep questioning- what is going on with us?
sorry but i felt like writing to you coz u too felt very sad on this.
I hope the UK gets clear of the temptation to make cheap meat the norm, because the US is so used it to it that the cruelty, exploitation of workers and severe health risks are "worth it"-- because who wants to pay more for pork when we know it COULD be cheaper...?

@damnitboyzz Thank you for your empathy... Towards the poor victims and me/we who witness their suffering.
Someday I'm certain we will look back at these practices with utter shame. :(

Dark side.... is there a bright side?

Bacon can be made 'cheaper' by off-loading the costs in disease from the farmer to the rest of the population.
