there are 2 options for this cobrajet, they are difrent superchargers, the top versions uses the whipple 4.0l

search youtube youll see them testing the whipple and it ran a 8.78 in the 1/4. wheelied though 1st and 2nd

the whipple brings its price tage to ~115,000tho

You know what is really funny is that FORD had to build this car to keep up with the Challenger Drag Pak car. What I love even more is that this tird has a twin screw supercharger on top of it and make LESS horespower than the naturally aspirated 6.1L HEMI. Poor FORD they won't ever learn. FORD=Weak HP MOPAR=RAW HP.

Yea, I read in the August '09 of Hot Rod Magazine ( I get them really early, because I have be a subscriber for 20 years) and They are going to make another 50 Cobra Jet run for 2010. out of 50, 1 will be convertible and will be a test mule for ford's new V-8 engines.

the 2010's are gonna have aluminum blocks and a new twin screw supercharger that ford is still developing. they are rated at 475 hp but are supposedly going to put out over 700. but i didnt tell u this. hush hush

The car has a whipple and a gt500 motor. They probably limited the boost for NHRA reasons. Pulley it up and its a 700whp monster.

It's set low horsepower so that it can compete in lower horsepower classes and completely annihilate the competition in that class. The Super Snake has 750 horsepower with the same engine... they can get higher horsepower out of that engine, they just chose not to.
