Thanks! I missed getting some possibly interesting images on another train line today. It looked great out the window, but the train was really packed and I couldn't get near the window. - LHs
I'm glad you liked it! Yeah - it's expensive to visit Japan now! When I came, it was Y245 for $1, so it was a LOT cheaper for tourists to visit here. Now it's something like Y96 for $1.... - LHS
Yeah - most of the train lines in Tokyo (and other cities too I suppose, but I'm not sure) have bilingual announcements - in Japanese and English. To tell you the truth, I really hate the English announcements! They take some of the fun out of being in Japan, and I don't think they're really necessary anyway - a station name is a station name. - LHS
Right! And with the next station name written in "romaji" over the doors, there really isn't any need for the irritating "The next station is...". Besides, even if you don't understand Japanese at all, if you're going to Shinjuku, and you hear "Tsugi-wa, Shinjuku desu", it's not difficult to hear "Shinjuku"! I really wish they'd get rid of those English announcements. They're seriously irritating to listen to! - LHS
Well, having road signs written so driving visitors can read them is probably a good idea. They do that with small area names too - just when I was proud of myself for being able to read the Japanese on them, they started adding romaji! But I can't complain about that, as I know it's genuinely useful for many people. But those horrible English announcements!!! There's no need for them and they sound so horrible. I really hate them! - LHS
Thanks! I've been focusing on the Chuo LIne and stations along the Chuo Line this month. Editing time is the bottleneck in getting things posted though.
5:00 a.m. - I'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard, so I better get some sleep quick, or it'll take a lot of coffee to keep me awake at work tomorrow (today)!
Nice video
Awesome view on all the streets and buildings
The only thing I understood is "Nakano! Nakano!" Hehe.

Yeah! I've hear that most major road signs also come with Romanji now. I guess you can call the English annoument "for dummies"... XDD
(sorry if that offends anyone no offense intended)

本当に必要な物ではない。Having all that stuff written in Romanji...

Cool video Lyle.
I was feeling stressed at work, and riding the train from Shinjuku to Koenji did the trick.
I like the angle you shot at. It showed the views down the streets really well. Showing the inside of the train a few times was also cool.

I was suprised when I saw you had replied to my comment so quickly. I thought you had either stayed up really late or you had gotten up super early.
Get some sleep!
