I'm with Mackwiss on the subject of the apocalypse. So far as I can recall, the only "ancient" civilization that "predicted" the end of the world, was the Mayans, with their calendar that stops at the end of 2012. And quite honestly, I think too many people read way too much into that. I don't believe they were telling the people who would come later that our days are numbered, that's just the date they got to when they stopped making the calendar for whatever reason.
