  • I was there and it was wonderful being in Liverpool at the pier head and right

in front of the Mersey-------such a feeling!!!!!!!!

  • this was such a fertile period. Great music, great memories....

  • TO Snookeroo...I'm confused...you uploaded this Oct. 18, 2006....but the banner in the clip says "08"?

  • @1Phoebus I think they were back then already advertising Liverpool 2008 as Europe Capital of Culture

  • bet he lives in spain now lol

  • Gerry and his pacemaker?

  • Wow-after all these years they performed this sound again, can't believe it.One of my all time favorites.Considering the set up and location they really didn't sound that bad,in fact they sounded very decent. If they had a better set up on an inside stage with some acoustic improvements, they would have sounded AWESOME,amazing, after all these years.I was 13 when this song came out, still have my original 45rpm.Those were great times, never to return. You can have today.

  • My late brother used to like this group and I remember listening to Gerry and the Pacemakers all the time as a young kid. Thanks for posting.

    Thanks for Posting it!

  • Since you guys are talking about 60's music - you gotta see this very cool link on Gerry and the Pacemakers and some other top groups of the 60's-

    youtube(dot)com/profile?user=britishinvasiondvds#g/u

  • This is one of the best songs from the sixties, so you don´t mind where the camera is. Glad indeed!! Thanks!!

  • cool

  • Not bad vocal wise, considering that its like 40 years old, those guys still strummin and croaning, remarkable..

Rock and roll keeps you young!

The video is not very good, but thanks for the look!

  • kopite twat, this song is shite,

  • Unforgetable this song

  • Gerryble!!!

  • Gerry and the Pacemakers. Fill me in. Did they want to be associated with geriatrics and pace-maker defibrillators and whatnot, OR did the medical community steal the name for it's pace maker apparatti?

A great name mighta been Counterfeiter and the Peso Makers.

Really, I loved that song. I used to listen to it on the way to school in the 60s on my little Renault Dauphin AM radio. US music was already subccobming to payola and becoming pure zit face crap. Gerry was a real bright spot...

  • Liverpool sure turned out some great artists. I grew up with the invasion to America. Many thanks Liverpoolians - time to do it again. The music is crap over here now. Time to get some rhythm, blues, and soul back into the game. Were the Searchers from Liverpool also? Have to google them up I suppose. Of course, we had a few good ones too back then...like Jimi and Janis to name a few...

  • It will be an honour to see Gerry and the Pace makers in Malta on the 7th of August 09

  • bomba

  • best band in the world fuck the beatles when u hav these guys

  • Are you serious?

  • LIVERPOOL, LIVERPOOL, LIVERPOOL

F the beatles, you got that right

  • @redchampions123 Fuck you. The Beatles did nothing to you, so there's no need to hate on them.

  • @taikwondoman How much of Gerry and the Pacemakers' music did you listen to to make that comparison? If you can't comment without being rude, keep quiet.

  • I just saw a special on my local PBS televison station which featured the great British rock and roll acts of the 1960's and decided to look some of them up on here and am glad to have found this video. The sound quality is excellent ,one of the best on here. thank you for posting

  • I am American and went to Liverpool in aug 08

just before Beatles week. Wish I was there for this.

  • my moms cousin

  • my moms brother in law

  • omg we are related somehow.

  • Gerry And The Murderers!

  • ynwa

    Great song!

  • Great live version, plus his voice has the same tone and timbre as 40 years before.

@kinky10crazy: Indeed the music which is produced today is an insulting nuisance to our 60ies-ears; only a few like Travis, Katie Melua or Robbie Williams make/made great music these days.

  • live music ist nun mal nicht so wie aus dem studio.

  • I love this song, pity he also sings that funeral dirge the other shower sing!

  • what u mean the greastest football anthem in the world??? or was it Z cars? hahahaha

  • This is great. I loved them.

  • helmut steiner du nervsT!!!!!

  • I feel so sorry for you that you feel the need to be so negative. If you don't like the music listen to something else which does make you feel positive.
