This cylinder shaped noise suppressors had special name I believe but i call Chickenpox supressors cuz they look like chickenpox of the engine.
Those things costed every 1db (sound measurement) reduce, they lost a lot of amount of thrust of the engines. They were proved uneffective and Flower petal suppressor and cone (chickenpox) suppressors when out of business after B727s and B737s came in.

Was that first class cabin 5 abreast, or was that coach? I always thought Pan Am had 6 abreast in coach, even from the get-go.
