Davisman You say caregiving families save the government $306.Billion A Year. How much would it cost the governament if they did care for your husband with ALS? I Know a nursing home would be $40,000. to $50,000. A month for a feeding tube and vent in a nursing home paid by medicaid. I understand these nursing homes are in short supply, and some people don't want to put a loved one in a nursing home which is the only care medicaid will pay for and nothing at home. I am so sorry.
