Could it be that while the southpole sees no sunlight in June the station might? Antartica is a rather large place after all. Neumayer Station, being about 1000 miles from the pole would obviously have a sunrise and sun set during winter months. Also, I don't know if you scientifically uninformed know, the earth actually revolves around the sun. (amazing isn't it ) It's not possible for the sun to be "out of place"at the pole and not be noticed anywhere else. Sheesh, this is third grade science, how dumb can some people be ?

Could it be that while the southpole sees no sunlight in June the station might? Antartica is a rather large place after all. And if you check their website you'll see that that particular station is rather close to the coast.

If the poles had shifted then almost every person into astronomy would have noticed by now, as the polar alignment of their telescope would be out by a large margin, putting all DSO's, Planet positions, stars out of alignment as well. My telescope is still aligned to where it should be, so no shift in my opinion.
