no. vocalist at a school as an expression is not used at all in the US. Vocalist implies you sing professionaly in a choir or as solo artist, not that you teach in a school or help out with vocal training at a school. I have to admit that I have not ever been in a music program so this might just be a trade term I am not familiar with. Why not just call her a teacher, professor, or vocal instructor?
