how do you get those custom lifts. the only lifts i see are 5-8 inch lift and that only allows 37 in tires.

Im a Ford guy but Chevy makes a good truck too. Only Achilles heel they have is that unlike Ford and Dodge,Chevy uses the I.F.S. on the 2500 -3500 series and in order for them to be of any serious off-road value,the ifs needs to be eliminated and replaced with a Dana 60 to withstand the punishment. hey make the kit and u can buy the axle but its kind of a time consuming process and you really need to have a facility to do something like that. Ur standard garage just wont do.

@GMCman82 496ci and its a factory engine, they came factory with the allison tranny as well. the engine isnt as good as you would think. it takes a lot of work to get the power out of it. its got a great amount of torque though.

I can't imagine tires THAT large being at all useful on a truck with such a small lift (comparatively speaking to the tires) only because there are no pictures with the tires turned but a few degrees. Also, from the looks of it, I bet the tires rubbed BAD. Personally, I'd rather have rull steering control than just a set of large tires. None the less, best part about the truck is the engine. I'd love to put an 8100 in my F150.

it was awesome offroad...the large tire size gave it plenty of clearance, big gas motor with the allison transmission worked great in the mud(for an automatic)...but it needed more lift in order to have better articulation. I liked the "stuffed" look though....so the lift only amounted to around 18" with some fender/bumper trimming. The toyota in the photo was my trail rig: 9"lift, 38"swampers and a 350/400 combo with edelbrock intake/carb setup and dual 3" headers.

It sold for $13,000....huge loss i know, but i averaged out the cash dumped into it and for the amount of time i had it it only cost me around $500 per month, so it was kinda like a lease that was a lot of fun!
