I really hope this guy doesn't wreck his beautiful talent if he gets big, because this is what needs to get out there, real rap, this stuff is true poetry. :) gives me hope for my generation
i love shad, but i have a feeling that if more people knew about him people would go of 'rose garden' and judge him on that, instead of listening to his other songs like most main stream artists these days. just a personal view, all love
below the eloheim is what it seems for all who are starving to those who die from the blind side to the drive bys we will ll hope for eternal peace and prosperity
@aKeXiLeCp the reason why hes not on the radio isnt just because hes too good for it. its because the 'people' who own all the major radio stations want to keep you listening to the same bullshit. to keep you dumb. to keep you feeling the same immature feelings about yourself and other people. they dont want you to think/feel differently about anything. they're trying to get more control, so anything thats 'entertainment' to you... try to think twice about. seek fufillment, not entertainment.
@krissyheartyou Na, dont blame them. Thats all bullcrap. They play all the crap on the radio cause the percent of the population like that crap more then shit thats real like this. Blame the people.
Though we empathize with them and sympathize with them,
be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
there 2 different people, you have to understand everybody raps differantly, shad and eminem are very good lyrically but they have differnet styles, you cant say who is better
@CasperTahDopestGhost I just mean in terms of the way they put their words together. The way the rhymes fit together rhythmically. I used the comparison with Eminem because he's known for being really good with stacking rhymes perfectly. But it is still a bit subjective, so you're right. In terms of lyrical content and style, though, I can't really compare because that's all musical preference.
@CasperTahDopestGhost Man Shad is clearly better. He;s trying to start a movement. Eminem is music for your ears. SHAD is music for your soul. Which do you place more value on?
hes not trying to start a movement, for hip hop was a movement from way back in the day so just because a artist sticks to original hip hop roots doesint mean hes starting a movement
second of all, eminem is older and has been actually BATTLING and competing for real competitions, listen to his shit from soul intent, his flow has way more structure words and syllables per minute
the guy had a girl to feed and some one liked help him blow? shad and em are 2 diff worlds
He's a fucking master of making his lyrics flow. Most rappers keep one rhyme at the end of each stanza, and in between is just filler. Shad keeps the lyrics witty and clever and is doing rhythmic backflips at the same time!
Shad is the best rapper EVER in every aspect except quantity. And this is coming from an avid conscious critic of hip hop. This guy needs to be publicized, I'm telling EVERYONE about him, do the same, the music industry can use this man.
@dherman276 agreed man :) his new album's great too! You got the lyrics a bit wrong though. It's lecture to classes from lecterns when next term the best third will pass and... etc...
@dherman276 We try not te Question the Stauts-Quo - Cause the Masses - Never get heard that's unless you're established - With Expert Professors - in Dress Shirts and Glasses - Who lecture to Classes - From Lecterns - Where Next Term - The Best Third will pass - and earn cash working as Desk Clerks - For the Best Firms in Manhattan. :P
Shad is basically discussing his relationship with society and government and how he chooses individualism and non-conformism ideals in dealing with the pressures of life. "Though we emphatize with them and sympathize with them, I don't enterprise with them or synchronize with them..." Shad basically feels that as wise as human beings feel, they still have a lot of basic things to learn.
I really hope this guy doesn't wreck his beautiful talent if he gets big, because this is what needs to get out there, real rap, this stuff is true poetry. :) gives me hope for my generation

...so basically he's explaining how he doesn't fall to the societal corruption that we all fall prey to that results from peer and societal pressure.
stokelycarm 3 years ago 4
my analysis for this song:
Shad is basically discussing his relationship with society and government and how he chooses individualism and non-conformism ideals in dealing with the pressures of life. "Though we emphatize with them and sympathize with them, I don't enterprise with them or synchronize with them..." Shad basically feels that as wise as human beings feel, they still have a lot of basic things to learn.
Very good song!!
