At work we gave the company practical joker a dose of his own medicine. The next day after he was complaining and worrying if the local transmission place fixed his trans correctly or just ripped him off we nailed him. i have a 1998 camry 6cyl , it has 98k on it. it was running fine , then one day it started running ruff. i changed plugs and it still runs very ruff and has no power. now it seems to run fine for about a minute while cold or when i first start it , for a minute. then it runs ruff and has no power after a minute or so. very difficult problem here

Probably your alternator....could be battery...but if its happening more more often than your battery may not be getting proper charge. Check battery first make sure connections are clean.

is it possible for my battery to be dead but still have my dome/head lights functioning properly? i just jumped my car even though my lights all worked and everything was fine until the next day i put the key in and NOTHING. i jumped the battery again and it'll probably be dead again soon. i'm worried it could be something worse than just the battery because of the functioning lights because i thought that if it were the battery i shouldn't have any electricity at all. any thoughts?

Well, brake pedal is something else, but I know that the clutch can do exactly that (go to the floor without any pressure being applied), and after topping the brake/clutch-oil, clucth pedal works OK. No impact at all on clutch mechanism.

But, the pressure SLOWLY goes away (overnight for example, it'll be completely gone).

Same could be for brake pedal.

no I dont have a catyletic converter on. I didnt fix the problem, but for a temporary fix i put a clamp on the fuel return line, because a guy helped me out and said that would be a temporary fix, but he thinks it needs a new fuel pump. Since the car is not street legal I can only test it at the track where I race, but the season just ended so idk where I can test it now.

I have a mitsubishi eclipse, and i race it at the local dirt track. When I start it it starts fine, but when i have it in neutral and i rev it up it makes a weird kinda sputtering noise. Its not like a knocking noise, but im going to put a video of the sound it makes. I really need to find the problem so I can get fix it and get back to racing. My dad seems to think its a clogged fuel filter, but idk. I race in 3rd gear, and this makes it very slow in 3rd so im not fast anymore. PLEASE HELP!

well does it do the same thing during normal driving? since you posted 1 month ago you may have gotten it fixed already but sometimes your catalitic converter may be clogged and needs to be replaced or you can take it off and ram a rod thru it to just hollow it out. this will also add some power as the cat. restricts some flow of exhaust and in turn resticts power. just message me for more help.
