I am 6'7'' 230 lbs and average around 280-300 yds when catching it right. Played with a scratch golfer about 5'9'' 160 lbs last week who was out-driving me on the fly, size means very little, it's all technique. (insert dick joke here)
@f0cusan Bubba Watson had the longest average drive in the PGA this year of 315.2 yards. So yeah I am sure you are driving 315 to 320 with a 350 max....
@dangleman1 I'm not saying that I hit it 350 all the time but I have and I can hit it 350 sometimes If I play 18 holes I will probably hit pretty many drives around 320-330 yards and that is 290-300 meters.
Its all about club head speed and hitting the ball square on the sweet spot. I can hit my 5 wood about 220-240 from the grass but if I increased the shaft length and stiffness I could add up to 100 yrds but this would make the club to long and less accurate for most 2nd approach shots. It would lead to much more than 10-15yrds. I'd like to see these guys hit a standard driver!
Id say they wouldnt kick your average tour players ass .. for a start since when are is any tour player an "average" golfer ... secondly what do they do on a par 3 ... shoot a 6 hahaha, drivin long doesnt help you sink a 6 foot put ...
You do realise that these drivers are 50" when a standard driver is 43" so anyone hitting 300 yrds with a standard length driver would manage this distance with a 50" because of the massively increased club head speed due to the longer shaft!
@RicardoRusso3000 No you would still need a extreme amount of strength my average drive is 285-320 and by not means my distance was not affected in a significant manner
@mikepownzall@mikepownzall it's mainly core strength, flexibility, timing and club head speed there are young teenagers that compete in those driving competitions that hit the 50" driver almost as far as this guy because of the club length. Try a 50" driver you'll be stunned how far it goes remember the difference between a 3 wood and driver is about 1/2" which is worth about 40-50yrds so an extra 5" on a driver is going to be worth well over 100yrds!
@RicardoRusso3000 The standard driver length with small metal heads and steel shafts was 43-43 1/2". Nowadays it's 45-45 1/2". Plus 50" is LDA regulation only, 48" is the USGA limit. But you're right- a difference of 3-5" in shaft length on a pure hit could lead to more yards, maybe 10-15 depending on the player. But longer shafts are harder to control and might not find the sweetspot all the time, so the yardage from good contact is lost and evens out the increased swingspeed. Just saying.
@RicardoRusso3000 ur an idiot, u should read ur comments before u post them, no pga tour pro comes close to any of these guys, ask bubba and dustin, not even within 40 yards of these guys and they will tell u that themselves even with a long shaft
i'm not gona lie ive only hit over 300 yds a few times. im not very accurate either so these guys amaze me. i did carry the ball 260 today though lol im getting there
Exactly you dumb fuk....i was responding to the comment they were using regulation drivers when there not, their in long drive comp were they use 50" plus shafts....if they were usin 45" they get about 10 yards long than 'Pancake' Woods and co.
I'm a Long Drivers of America member, our drivers can't be longer than 48" (the USGA max). You will hear that they are 50" long because the LDA measures the club from the ground to the top of the grip at a 90* angle (like up against a wall), whereas USGA measures from the ferrule to the top of the grip.
Standard driver lengths vary from vendor to vendor, but typical standard length is 44.5".
A lot of LDers best rounds on hit on about 68 or 67 which is under par but that's their best round plus tour players play on courses that are made to be harder w/ grown out roughs, fast or slower greens, and even the fairways are sometimes different in length or width.
You're totally right man, cause being the #2 junior world long driver when I was 16 and top 3 for 4 years in a row would mean I don't know anything about it. All drivers are regulation, have to pass usga testing and are available to the public. I've been working with Adams Golf or over a year now, what are your credentials?
most of these guys would have to start playing golf before then and play for awhile to be able to hit it this far ...I bet most of them could kick the average tour players ass
yes they would ya know why they have 10x more ball striking and accuracy they also spen more time with wedges because thats where they are on most par 4's they are also very good putters the regular assumption is very wrong!
Yeah nice facts I actually know people in the LDA DON'T MESS WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE REAL FACTS these guys play just as much golf at a course as a tour player, they do WORK on their drive after the round but thats it then when championship time nears they drive a bit more,YEAH BUT NOT A 60* OR A 20 YARD CHIP!!!
@mikepownzall Long drivers are usually good drivers but they can't beat tour pros. Why would they compete for 250k if they could go win millions on tour easily. Your a dumb @ss and a half. A lot of them don't even get into long drive until they're like 20 or something sadlowski was the only one up they're who started at young age.
hence the word average tour player...last I checked the average tour player shoots about even par...now some if not most of the long drive guys are low handicappers or better so yes they would have a pretty good chance
@mikepownzall These guys might be decent golfers, but they are NOT EVEN CLOSE to be as good as tour players. Not even Nationwide, nor Hooters tours, Canadian tours or Asian tours. Not even close!!!
@jwshin00 You know the fact they hit it so far is why......Im saying if there was a par 5 440yrds ( if they hit it good they might get there) and they get it there and 3 putt...................its still a birdie...so the fact is they can overpower the course......The tour player may still probs win
@pudgylumpkins Nope because if someone took enough time to develop the game they played they would be good at it...now tour pros develop everything..long drive guys just developed the long game they had past the ability of every other aspect of their game...so if they developed a solid short game which is very possible..no doubt they would have a fighting chance
@mikepownzall I must have misunderstood your previous comment. No doubt they have the ability to develop their games to a competitive level. In their current state, they would be decimated.
@pudgylumpkins I think personally it depends on the course.....something like St.Andrews on a non-windy day they would have the ability to almost drive every other hole...a course like TPC at Sawgrass they would get destroyed because of the lack of accuracy..
@xxGekko No....You see these guys could if they wanted to if they developed the short game they have..but they barely have time to so they mainly do LD
@IplayCODallDAY I'm pretty certain the fairway is only 50 yrds???idk but the swings they are built for power...if the toned it down for consistency and accuracy...they would still hit it 345 or 350 but with a easier shot in so its possible
if they could beat the average tour players ass, do you really think they'd still be entering drive competitions, instead of earning loads and becoming known..
@mikepownzall Nope, they would get destroyed by most tour players. Golfing is a sport of balance, not just the long ball. The short game is what makes or breaks champions.
@cyberslick18 Yes, I know that ...My short game outscores the rest on any level...What I am implying simply...A long driver..say he its 380...sucks on everything but driving...took a year off to make the rest of his game up could in turn become the equiv. of a tour pro...I know this.....All I am implying that it is possible
@mikepownzall No it's not. It takes most players their entire lives to develop a balanced game. These guys spent most of theirs developing the long ball, there is no chance they could learn the rest in one year, or even several years.
That's like saying if I had never played golf in my life, I could be a tournament worthy player in 2 years after I learned a year of driving and a year of short game.
If they could do it, they would do it. The 8th place spot in a tourny pays more than 1st here
@cyberslick18 In order to hit the ball that fucking distance...they would have to at least be able to do all the other things to SOME point....I mean you can't have a guy go "oh, I'm going to learn how to hit a golf ball 450 yards today" he would have to play for years and then eventually go into long drive.........and Because of you ignorance I will tell you..go fuck yourself
@mikepownzall Your just mad because you know even after a year of training, these guys would literally all be at the exact bottom.
Seriously, it's like saying "oh that guy could be a pro race driver if he trained for a year". If that was true, they'd fucking train for a year and do it!
Do you have any idea how much these guys make? MAYBE six figures a year if you are number 1. The fucking guys on tour can make that without ever even placing.
@cyberslick18 Dude I know more about golf than you.....I've been playing all of my life and trust me maybe they like to hit the golf ball a fucking mile.....I really don't give a shit anymore and I when I said 450 I meant it just saying a random number douche
@mikepownzall i'm sure they can hi it further but these guys wouldn't stand a chance in stroke play, its not all about the long ball, its about the razor sharp short game and putting which these guys probobly lack, nothing against them, i'm only able to hit the ball 280 :$ these guys have 100 yards on me
@FerrarisRock Im in the same boat of you.....The common misconception is that because they hit it so long they suck.....My short game is way better then my long game on every level.......100 Yards and in outmatches my 200+ yard game by far...The misconception is that because they (you could say ) have a bigger dick then you doesn't mean they don't know how to use it in more then one way. Translation you are ignorant.
@mikepownzall LMAO the dick analogy cracked me up man. And you're so right- Jamie Sadlowski (won the last 3 Remax Championships before losing out in 2010) plays scratch golf and might play Pro golf in a few years. That's not bad at all and he hits the ball 400+ yards at 5'11" and 160 lbs haha.
@mikepownzall LOL yeah pretty much, plus most golf fans don't necessarily understand equipment that well. I'm just a guy who looks that crap a lot, too much it seems at times. I think I need a new hobby. XD
they are using regulation drivers. That's the whole point. so people like you don't say that they are using "illegal" drivers. you probably think you hit it 300 yards as well.
no there not if u play in a long drive contest for money you are banned from playing golf on a pga event there shafts are 50 to 52 inches long 4 inches longer then usga rule
@longhitter2007 If anything, most LD drivers have thicker faces since they need reinforced clubheads that don't break easily. An average hack hitting an LD driver head would likely notice less launch, less spin, and less speed due to "slower, thicker faces." Although it's compensated by longer-than-normal shafts for LD guys, but like you said those are regulation drivers through and through. From head to shaft and to the grip even. Nothing illegal going on here!
@MAlatinboy This is a point I make very frequently to people who mention anything about the fact that our drivers are different. When I let someone use a competition driver I know for a fact that they will not be able to get the distance that they would with their normal driver. In fact, it seems to go straight right and 10 feet off the ground.
@longhitter2007 I know, there are a lot of misconceptions because it can be kind of hard to fathom the difference between LD heads and retail heads in most cases. And I didn't even mention how much stiffer most LD shafts are, that makes it a completely different story also. Talking about LD drivers and having seen your videos before, how's that new 9064LD treating you? What shaft is in there and flex?
@MAlatinboy the new 9064 head is pretty sick... still a couple flaws but you can't ever make anyone happy. They come out of the factory fairly flat but seem to hold up. ROCKET BALL SPEEDS... 4Mph fast BS on trackman over my 9016's and 2mpg average over my 9032's. Just have to get use to a flatter flight and lower spin.
@longhitter2007 Yeah they look really sick. I'm not even close to LDA long haha, but I'm definitely looking at the 9064LS in 8.5, although I heard the stock RIP in those have more torque so they play slightly whippier. And 4 mph over the 9016? I've heard so many good things about those that I'm somewhat surprised. If I could, I'd go after the 9016's little brother 9015D, those have cult status. But I guess I'd much rather have flat ball flight over ballooning though, sounds like a sweet club.
@guitarfreakrulz After Competing as a Junior Golfer in nationally ranked AGJA, NTPGA, Legends Tour and highschool junior tournaments across the US as well as being a competitor at the 2010 ReMax World long drive championships I can tell you that not only could Tiger Woods pick up any one of our drivers and use it in the Masters, legally, but the LDA performs club CT testing on site that test the heads to make sure they are USGA conforming. Stick that in your pipe buddy
@guitarfreakrulz Thicker faces mean slower ball speeds- the USGA only outlaws thinner faces that provide faster ball speeds that go beyond the limit for CT. 48" I believe is the USGA limit for shaft length, so plenty of LD drivers would be perfectly legal for Tour use. 50" is the LDA limit, so those wouldn't be allowed on Tour but again 48" is fine. Read up on equipment regulations next time, man.
@longhitter2007 Yea they measure at a 90 degree angle. Comes out to over 48" using tour measuring method. I measure my penis from my asshole to the tip.
jeez... I'd never imagine anyone swinging a club like that kid, and hit one straight down the fairway. I'd probably be 180 yards straight, 120 yards to the left.
Sounds like mobley also has a cock up his ass. Can't he just shut the fuck up??

@FerrarisRock Im in the same boat of you.....The common misconception is that because they hit it so long they suck.....My short game is way better then my long game on every level.......100 Yards and in outmatches my 200+ yard game by far...The misconception is that because they (you could say ) have a bigger dick then you doesn't mean they don't know how to use it in more then one way. Translation you are ignorant.
mikepownzall 1 year ago
@mikepownzall LMAO the dick analogy cracked me up man. And you're so right- Jamie Sadlowski (won the last 3 Remax Championships before losing out in 2010) plays scratch golf and might play Pro golf in a few years. That's not bad at all and he hits the ball 400+ yards at 5'11" and 160 lbs haha.
MAlatinboy 1 year ago
@MAlatinboy I know right. People just hate people who hit it a ungodly distance because they can't. :D
mikepownzall 1 year ago
@mikepownzall LOL yeah pretty much, plus most golf fans don't necessarily understand equipment that well. I'm just a guy who looks that crap a lot, too much it seems at times. I think I need a new hobby. XD

@mikepownzall Most golfers who go into Long Drive are Pro's who couldn't make it on any tour because they didn't have the short game skill

I bet they are garbage at putting and recovery. but i doubt they need to do much recovery with these drives lol

@chaingangfan2 who cares the best part of golf is DRIVING. Not putting fagot.
zIITaLeNTzIIz 2 years ago
they are using regulation drivers. That's the whole point. so people like you don't say that they are using "illegal" drivers. you probably think you hit it 300 yards as well.
longhitter2007 2 years ago 14
@longhitter2007 They are not using regulation drivers... You shouldn't talk about things you have no idea about.
drl52 1 year ago
no there not if u play in a long drive contest for money you are banned from playing golf on a pga event there shafts are 50 to 52 inches long 4 inches longer then usga rule
steamingpoopfart 1 year ago
@longhitter2007 If anything, most LD drivers have thicker faces since they need reinforced clubheads that don't break easily. An average hack hitting an LD driver head would likely notice less launch, less spin, and less speed due to "slower, thicker faces." Although it's compensated by longer-than-normal shafts for LD guys, but like you said those are regulation drivers through and through. From head to shaft and to the grip even. Nothing illegal going on here!
MAlatinboy 1 year ago
@MAlatinboy This is a point I make very frequently to people who mention anything about the fact that our drivers are different. When I let someone use a competition driver I know for a fact that they will not be able to get the distance that they would with their normal driver. In fact, it seems to go straight right and 10 feet off the ground.
longhitter2007 1 year ago
@longhitter2007 I know, there are a lot of misconceptions because it can be kind of hard to fathom the difference between LD heads and retail heads in most cases. And I didn't even mention how much stiffer most LD shafts are, that makes it a completely different story also. Talking about LD drivers and having seen your videos before, how's that new 9064LD treating you? What shaft is in there and flex?
MAlatinboy 1 year ago
@MAlatinboy the new 9064 head is pretty sick... still a couple flaws but you can't ever make anyone happy. They come out of the factory fairly flat but seem to hold up. ROCKET BALL SPEEDS... 4Mph fast BS on trackman over my 9016's and 2mpg average over my 9032's. Just have to get use to a flatter flight and lower spin.
longhitter2007 1 year ago
@longhitter2007 Yeah they look really sick. I'm not even close to LDA long haha, but I'm definitely looking at the 9064LS in 8.5, although I heard the stock RIP in those have more torque so they play slightly whippier. And 4 mph over the 9016? I've heard so many good things about those that I'm somewhat surprised. If I could, I'd go after the 9016's little brother 9015D, those have cult status. But I guess I'd much rather have flat ball flight over ballooning though, sounds like a sweet club.

@longhitter2007 there using longer drivers than standard with thicker faces. THERE ILLEGAL TO US IN TOURTAMENT GOLF!
guitarfreakrulz 1 year ago
@guitarfreakrulz After Competing as a Junior Golfer in nationally ranked AGJA, NTPGA, Legends Tour and highschool junior tournaments across the US as well as being a competitor at the 2010 ReMax World long drive championships I can tell you that not only could Tiger Woods pick up any one of our drivers and use it in the Masters, legally, but the LDA performs club CT testing on site that test the heads to make sure they are USGA conforming. Stick that in your pipe buddy
longhitter2007 1 year ago
@guitarfreakrulz Thicker faces mean slower ball speeds- the USGA only outlaws thinner faces that provide faster ball speeds that go beyond the limit for CT. 48" I believe is the USGA limit for shaft length, so plenty of LD drivers would be perfectly legal for Tour use. 50" is the LDA limit, so those wouldn't be allowed on Tour but again 48" is fine. Read up on equipment regulations next time, man.
MAlatinboy 1 year ago
@longhitter2007 A 50" driver is not considered a "regulation" driver by PGA standards.
NowLifeStarts 10 months ago
@NowLifeStarts The LDA measures differently than USGA. Maximum is 50" LDA which is within the 48" USGA regulation standard.
longhitter2007 10 months ago
@longhitter2007 Yea they measure at a 90 degree angle. Comes out to over 48" using tour measuring method. I measure my penis from my asshole to the tip.

@longhitter2007 Most popular driver is the 48 Inch Adams Speedline with an Aldila Rip XXX Stiff Shaft, and a loft of 6
Gelinuts21 7 months ago
@Gelinuts21 is it now? Because I compete with Adams Speedlines. Are you sure Krank Isn't the most popular?
longhitter2007 7 months ago
@longhitter2007 It could be. But I think Adamds will always dominate the Long Drive name
Gelinuts21 7 months ago
ha I would think they could hit more toward 400 with a driver that is 2 inchs longer then regulation! it seems sort of short.

not really

jeez... I'd never imagine anyone swinging a club like that kid, and hit one straight down the fairway. I'd probably be 180 yards straight, 120 yards to the left.
