Russian military and nuclear (sic!) power in pathetic state? WHAT THE FUCK???
Well. I understand that the original Metal Gear Solid was created in 1998, at that time Russia was indeed in pretty crappy state. But... Metal Gear Solid is set in year 2005. To that date Russia was WAY more powerful, than in 90s.
But of course, Metal Gear is alternate history in few terms (Solidus being 43rd President of the US, different DCI in 1964-70, ONIX formula), so, no one really gives a fuck.
