And also...this is why, unlike for much of the 20th century, you can no longer get close the Halemaumau Crater. In the early 1900s, it was the usual thing to walk right up to the edge and look into the glowing red firepit. Now, we don't take chances anymore, and people are kept away from the potential of something like this video shows.
well there are around 6 billion people and maybe around 1000 volcanoes. Plus humans burn almost every day. And no offense, but fireworks are a waste of money - all they are is pretty.
Volcanoes have always erupted, and are always erupting. Thus they can erupt without affecting the natural cycle, since they're part of the natural cycle. When burning fossils which have accumulated over geological timescales, you're getting excess amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere. Volcanoes only keep CO2 at the currenlt levels, whereas human activities increase the levels. Besides, there is no way to stop a volcano.
just wanted to point out a few events that have changed the "natural" cycle. tambora 1815, Krakatoa 1889, laki eruptions of 1783-84. and inumerable other past eruptions that have significantly affected life on earth.
i just ask that you dont get pissy about other peoples input.
If you look from a geological perspective, even massive volcano eruptions occur with fairly regular intervals. Life always recovers from the calamities wrought by such eruptions.
its kindof weird to think...thats what we walk over every day, thats what's beneath us... under this thin layer of crust there's this crazy explosive power...hmmm
Cool! that was on my Birthday

How come we get told off for lighting bonfires and fireworks (global warming), but volcanoes are allowed to do THIS?!
