  • how come pretty much all stick person animations have to do with fighting or swords?

  • attack that bitch

  • THAT WAS SO COOL! May we ask? How did you do the slow mo? Did you render that piece by piece in different FPS's? Or did you really move the stickman's body in real time then slow-mo'd it while you were still fixing it up? I'd really love to know! By the way? Did you use decals for the blood effects? Simply amazing. Please make more!!!

  • awsome!

  • Xiao Xiao sound effect. I haven't seen that animation in probably ten years lol but I recognize it 100%. That's the jumping kick at the end of the boss fight right? Also anyone that doesn't know about xiao xiao should look it up pronto. Awesome stick animations.

    ...make stickman videos...

  • Oh come on, I expected a fight!! :D

  • does blender cost money and is it hard to use?

  • that was really funny

  • painful

  • What's the music?

Also, I have to get blender now, after seeing this.

  • wut website is blender on

  • OHHHHHH dat shit was fucking ill. I would pay to see a full movie of some 3d stick figures

  • Blender isnt massively used in industry to be honest. Id recommend gettin to grips with Blender then look at either 3ds max or Maya, as those two are used in industry (games and film).

  • Splash.... :D

  • That was really cool! I knew Blender was a Game Maker, Animator, and Model Maker. But I haven't seen results like this. How did you make the sword and stick-man models? I want to make a few models of my own, but I don't know which shapes to start with and what tools to use with them. Can you help me out with that?

  • @SonicStarArmy I didn't make the stickmen model/rigs, and the sword is actually easy to create if you have a tad of modeling experience. Try googling some tutorials on modeling, I'd say...

  • @snipperbes Ah, alright then. That seems to be an extremely common answer, but thanks anyway ^_^ .

  • 00:21 theres your problem.

  • koooooooooooool

  • hey man I seen this video and it kinda inspired me to make a short 3d animation and so i posted a video response ( if its ok with you ;) )

  • i dont know why, but i laughed at this, its great!

  • ouch

  • Pivot is better for stickmen animations :P (Joke)

  • @SonicSkaterScott I am new to Blender, but still animating Pivot, i've been animating pivot for a year, i don't think that Blender would be for Stickmens but still, pivot is cool for normal stickmens..

  • @cresseliamaster2 i use "MacroMedia Flash 8" for animating its the best!

  • uh...you got a sword through your head. just thought you should know.

  • At the ending: SPLAT!

  • Freaking awesome lol, loved the slow mo into the sword throw haha. Very cool.

  • must of taken you hours and hours to render

  • That blood splatter effect is cool :D But for a more constructive comment, I think that the animation for the scene was good but mabye a bit rigid. Add some small tweaks to poses to keep them moving all the time, like mabye adding a breathing motion at the beginning when they are just standing there. Other than that, there are no major changes I would have done :)

  • SM1: This guy has a sword.

    SM2: ...(Jumps)

SM1: WTF!!! This guy can ju- (dead)

    lol

  • ha haa haaaa ha ha ha FUNNY

  • suppperrrrr dude

  • hey i have the same stickmen but how do i put 2 in 1 project

  • @LillProwler Look up tutorials on appending objects from one project to another.

  • @omegaiteration i found out but now ill move my character make him walk but this is what happend he will put his foot down walk then his other foot is down when i play it it makes him hop in mid air if u want video evidence of this let me know ill give u my skype

  • Very Good!!

  • I like this version a lot more than the flash versions. Keep it up!

  • its pretty good work, kudos

  • its too large in size ! takes a lot of time to load

  • wow :O

  • lol great

  • awesome! i prefer 2.57 tho.

  • go to 0:20 for gruesomeness

  • I hate those hideous Rolling camera slides in mostly amateur cgi movies... ugghh. stop that.

  • good job ;)

  • cool

  • honestly the blur makes it look cooler

  • the end was epic great work .....

  • how did you do the blood?? This is AWESOME btw!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!

  • pretty nice ;)

  • really good :)

  • That was really good.

I did not notice the rendering problem until you told me in the annotations

  • Just awesome how much time to do this ?

  • was that hard to make? do you think a 15 year old could do it? ( im noob) :)

  • That was really good!

  • Hey!

Vector Blur still is not working correctly. So it's not your "fault" ;)

  • Great job!

How did you do the lighting? and where can i find this stick figure like you did?

  • LOL what'd you use for animating the skins? as in bones, biped, morphs etc

  • where i saw blender at and got it it was just some 3d game model maker.

  • @ltsonic1 There's more to Blender than that, actually. Try some tutorials on animating or compositing.

  • @snipperbes OMG can you please send me the model???

  • @ltsonic1 yea try tutorials. u can make movies, models, games, anything really

  • @ltsonic1 Wrong. It's to make 3d animations. You just have to learn how to use it.

  • @KlockoBlockland Wrong. It's for 3D modeling, game development, 2D modeling, game development and animation. Itsonic1 is correct in what he's saying.

  • @ltsonic1 that is such a fail sentence that I had to tell you. English, learn it.

  • @ltsonic1 blender does everything lol animation, modeling, game making, and even slight about of texturing but that is more of place holder stuff until you do it for real.

  • Whats the software

  • @NinjaDeen Blender. To be more specific, version 2.49b. Google it, i'd say.

  • @snipperbes Well... Blender 2.5 is finally out.....

  • @psxworld101 I made this before 2.5x was released. Please look at the upload date before saying ignorant things, thank you.

  • @snipperbes Blender 2.5 has been available in alpha and beta stages for a long time (2008/2009?). They officially released the stable version on April 2011.

I wasn't really trying to be ignorant, if that is where your coming from.

  • awesome! but when i use blender its hard.

  • is this a download, if so then tell me how to get it.

  • lol

  • Nice Work!

  • Just awesome !!!

Could you please make a tutorial ?

How long did you need for this animation ?

  • @xXDarkXHazardXx I didn't make the Stickmen myself, and the sword, environment and lighting were actually pretty easy to make. The hard part, however, was animating the camera and the attacking stickman. While i made this quite some time ago, i still remember spending hours on smoothing the animations (all manual IPOs). If i remember correctly, this took two-three days to animate and render, and another to edit in Sony Vegas. (Sony vegas seems to have trouble with the codecs i use.)

  • @snipperbes Where did you get the stickman? Can you send me a download link if possible?

    Brilliant animation BTW :)

  • @wiggy0444 Added it to the description.

  • @wiggy0444 No one gives a crap

  • WONDERFUL

  • WOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!

You are a fckn pro man!!!

    Ur awesome!

  • Lol that was anti-climatic, I loved it.

  • awesome job i love the camera angles

did u use paths for your cameras?

id love to play around with your .blend file and see how you did everything

anyways glad your started animating characters

  • @gammabun Cameras were animated manually, all keyframed (LocRot). The camera was quite hard to make, but i'm glad you liked it. :)

  • pretty awesome, really, it has a very professional feeling about it

so... hows did you do the background? :)

  • @accuratesheep A generic Blender sky colour (go to Materials and then to World), with Horizon set to white, Zenith to blue, and "blend" and "real" checked next to the image preview box.

  • how did you do the blood?

  • @accuratesheep A decal: I added a texture to the wall, containing the blood image file, mapped to object, with an empty as the reference. I then placed the empty at the correct place at the correct time. Very simple, yet effective.
