@Smokeg1016 Its mostly because he is a Radio DJ and he is new give him time. I know all of these house DJS on a personal level. Pharris Thomas will get up there as long as he does events with andre hatchett and frankie knuckles. IT will boost him up

To be honest, he's really not that new, he's old school. Pharris Thomas-as you might recall-and he's the only dj that I know that can MC while he's playing, and he MCs at a high level, not just bs talking. You're probably right, he gets hated on cause he's always on the radio and he attracts a younger crowd from that. But there's not to many out there that can do what he can do when it comes to the house music.

@Smokeg1016 well i been to many events with dj pharris thomas in it and i must admit he good but you still got Andre Hatchett, Frankie Knuckles, Paul Johnson, Dj Wayne Williams and Dj Allen King and the other chosen few djs in chicago. I know Pharris Thomas will get reconized sooner or later.

I never said he's the best, I said he's the most under-rated. I would say right now, Hatchett is the best(when he feels like playing). I don't like how Frankie spins anymore, he wouldn't even be in my top 5, The chosen few-they get much respect.

@pharrisism Hell I remember back in high school when me Pharris and dj lil john went to Hyde Park H.S. ,I was a junior and they were seniors back in 1984 and they had their dj crew Wall to Wall Sounds and they were the reason I started spinning, after going to so many Mendal H.S. partys and watching them kill it !!!!!!!!

@ChicagoMusic Pharris New? naaah Pharris is one of the pioneers, he's done plenty events with Frankie, Andre, Steve Hurley, Farley Keith you name 'em he was probably there. Mendell parties with wall to wall sounds, Sauers, The PLEASURE DOME, AKA's, C.O.D's, and the UNDERGROUND(the only person i ever saw rock that place as hard as Ronnie did) this man's resume is sick...don't let that radio stuff fool you, he's still respected amongst his peers.....Andre, Frankie, Steve....all the legends.

I didn't experience Ron Hardy that often, but the times I did hear him he was dynamic. I preferred Frankie Knuckles because of his more subdued crowds. I heard Ron Hardy one time at Club Laray on a Sunday night and he ran us out on Halsted street. We were all soaked from head to toe and he beat the hell out of "Inch by Inch" by Persia. When we came back he was killing "Love and Happiness". He had the nerve to end the night with "Coming on Strong" and walked out of the club. Fantastic
