  • for those of us being there in 79 , even if in my case only first year high school, its very cool we can watch our fave clips via yutube in 2010

  • This is the shit right here!! The Cars and Blondie are the two best new wave bands ever!! This is a major underrated song!!

  • @TheMajorHawke Correction - This is the most ''OVERRATED'' song from the Blondie catalogue as it's the only song radio stations ever play and it's also the only music video music channels ever play from Blondie.

It's a great song but over 32 years, advertising has made it too repetitive. Just once i'd like to hear ''The Hardest Part'' on the radio instead of this one.

  • @Adam060756

Oops, yeah i made a mistake..but i thought underrated meant it was awesome??

  • Late 70s early 80s were great days for some great songs...and this is one of the very best!

  • l wish i was born in the 80s too

  • I love this shit reminds me of my childhood. WTF has happened to todays music, all these punk ass losers like Justin Bieber make me sick! how that fucking douche bag sells music is beyond me!

  • exelente video y agregado a mis favooritos

  • Y PENSAR QUE ESTA CHICA HACIA PELÍCULAS PORNO

  • She's so incredibly beautiful. LOL at 1:48 where the lipsynching goes all wrong.

  • Deborah was an addict fyi

  • thats my nickname (: iloveher ♥

  • Deborah is one sweet number. :)

    She's gorgeous.

  • I gave this video a TD because of the silly intro.

  • @Seven7hSon I gave your comment a TD because of the silly reasoning.

  • she sings it better that kid from martin dds

  • her teeth are funny when she'ss singing

  • @Johanaragelono what do you expect, she has a heart of glass.

  • @bleachmaster1011 haha i know right

  • sweet

  • I first heard this onboard the USS Independence underway in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (The Pond) headed to the Mediterranean Sea.

  • che bella!

  • I feel like if I lived in the 70's, every time I would do coke this song would be playing.

  • @Savagej77 HAHAHAH that's terrible man

  • @Savagej77 DUDE! me too. all the way through the 70's to the 80's.

then i would stop....... and continue with push it to the limit!

  • happy halloween

  • @Benjabola Fuck u!

  • aaaaaaaand they started out as a punk-band,glad she got the groove

  • Debbie Harry <3

  • She was STUNNING. What a horny little minx!!

Do you think if I borrowed Dr.Who,s TARDIS and when back to 1979 she would have a one night stand with me? mmm No I doubt it, But you never know.

She is 1,000,000 times better looking that my girlfriend!

Look at the horny shoes at 03:22 in this video.

    So I have a shoe fetish..So what!

  • This is a good song, if she pronounced the words so we could understand them, it would be better.

Did she attend the Sting school of singing or something?

"Once, zaza a love (some high pitched squealing) heart of glass."

  • @pikkdogs Given her make-up and hazy camera-staring, I'd say she learned it from David Bowie.

  • i cant stop watching her.

  • This video has held up very well. 31 years old and it looks like it was shot yesterday. Nice! I still remember this song from when I was in the 6th grade.

  • Amazing song right here.

  • @mrmiguell26 Nothing wrong with the artist nowadays.

just with the people, if you lissen all those top 50 artists , sure its crap.

lissen to the underground and you found bands even better. xD

  • @mrmiguell26 Don't you think calling Justin B a faggot is an insult to gay people?

  • @mrmiguell26 Theres always been fags and crackheads, except back then the fag was Freddie Mercury from Queen and the Crackhead was Eddie Van Halen :3

  • Comment removed

  • @mrmiguell26 Perhaps if you stopped listen/watching to popular music channels/radio you would find something you like. You also don't need to be born back than, as you can still listen to them now. Seriously, all anyone ever does on yt is troll and bitch.

  • @mrmiguell26 Why does every single piece of music from before about 1995 have to have this exact same comment really highly rated. There is good music and it isn't all too rare. I'd just say that popular music doesn't produce so many amazing things.

  • @mrmiguell26 It was awesome! People still had balls! The seventies didn't have all the electronic shit we have nowadays, but it was just....'right'. They have bred passion out of us, sadly. :( Also, wasn't Debbie beautiful? What happened to 'class' and 'grace' in a woman?

  • @mrmiguell26 it was an awesome time to be alive...wish i could go back..

  • @mrmiguell26 Back to the begining . The only truth .Job 39 The rest is a heart of glass in a new world . lol

  • Shes still pretty hot today..Very nice song..

  • @ccg1171 yeah you wouldn't kick her out of bed would you ;)

  • @KnightTemplar101 Probally not

  • Adored Debbie - still do. She was'nt perfect or try to be. Bless her, she could'nt dance for toffee - but it made even more appealing. This beautiful woman clumping about, it made her real, not plastic, unlike todays lot. I'm looking at you Cheryl Cole.

  • Oooo Oooo. Whoaa.

  • Meravigliosamente bella!

  • When I was a kid when this song came out some people said that blondie sold out by making this disco song.I say blondie is awesome whether she sings rock, punk ,rap or disco.

  • Deborah Harry Total Legend!

  • Awful heavily compressed audio but brings back great memories of my teenage years!

  • @SouthAmericanFishMan Lol, What was out of shot of the camera!

  • EVERYONE NJUST TARE A MOMENT AND TOUCH ME

  • yay!!!!! get to go see blondie next month !!!

  • Thanks for posting the words! I listen to this song and sing it when I'm in the car and have to "mumble over" the parts I couldn't get!! I was a teen when this song came out in 1979, so I should know the words, but could never quite get them!! Thanks

  • She was the biggest female star in 1979

  • Hey, that guy plays the 'cord' instrument just like me!

  • Oh my GOD!!!! She is beautiful and always has been. Wooooooooo!!!!

  • Desde garoto sou apaixonado

    por esse olhar....

  • she was hot and strange at the same time. Read she's on Broadway now. At 65 years old.

  • coolest and hottest girl ever !! Debby I Love you.

  • Awsome!Amooooo essa música!Tinha uns 9 anos de idade quando fez sucesso...

  • Awsome!Amooooo essa música!

  • i was 9 years old when wrote this song,I had a major crush on her.

She had the beautiful looks to go with the great voice.

  • Lipsinging these days just isn't what it used to be -- these days it's much better.

  • first love. cant ever get over it.

  • @2311971 haha i was thinking the same thing as i was watching all the blondie videos here. i distinctly remember being around 5 years old watching solid gold and seeing blondie and fell in love!

  • I was 12 in '79 and Blonde was JUST IT!!! These people knew how to make music.

  • The best by far

  • lol Really? What 42 assholes gave this a thumbs down? Wonder what music they like?

  • esta é para mata saudades

  • what was she on?

    I personally like Whiskey

  • @BonaDun I think that she is geekin out haha. Would not surprise me at all

  • that was the best song in the 80s..... good on her

  • Good Song!

  • voice of an angel

  • Wow. I'm a certain age and I can't get over this video. She is so cute.

  • @StefanJBlock FAGGOT

  • oh my gosh

  • My father dated her in HS. They grew up in Hawthorne, NJ and she was in the marching band. Obviously, she's not a natural blond. She had a dark almost beehive styled hair style back then and looked nothing like the Debbie she matured into during the late 70s, early 80s. Her and Chris were heavily into Reggae music and this song started out as a mid tempo Reggae number

  • @ritter89 what hs means?

  • @Unell08 High School

  • @ritter89 Damn your father dated Debbie Harry?!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @doetim Yeah, but she didn't look like the Debbie Harry from Blondie. She was in her late 20s-early 30s at the height of Blondie's fame so she'd changed quite a bit by then. She was attractive, of course, but in the old pix looks pretty much like most girls from that period (early 60s) . She had very dark hair in a beehive style and wore lots of eye make up. They dated for about a year. She was very shy back then, according to my father. She still lives in NJ (forget where) part time

  • @ritter89 It's quite amazing that such a timid and shy girl would turn out to be punk and new wave's biggest female icon! When you see her old blondie interview clips she always did come across as very shy and introverted. It's really cool that your father gets to say that he dated THE Debbie Harry! She really didn't blossom until she reached her 30's for sure.

  • She was at her peak then utterly gorgeous.....

  • Wapisima De las mujeres mas bonitas, Me encanta todo este video, las bolas de disco estudio54 me encanta ....

  • Shes Beautiful and this is a amazing song.

  • Haha, one of the worst music videos ever. Chic is sexy though, I must admit.

  • Im only 12 nd i think this one song is way better than all of Justin Bieber's song combined together

  • i think i just fell in love :/

  • OMG! The music i am searching for all these years! AT LONG LAST!!!

  • wonderfull

  • i love blondie i may only be 16 but she has amzing music

  • Maybe Gwen Stefani is in the same league, but Debbie is definitely one of the best of all time

  • She was the thing hardons were made of back in the day!!

  • @grishtak Well no need to act like a slut when you look like the way she does.

  • GTA Vice City!

  • shes so gorgeous !

  • 39 people dislike? who would dislike this! who COULD DISLIKE THIS? At last it is confirmed. there are at least 39 mad people in the world.

  • soooo beautifull !!! She warms the heart !

  • i love blondie

  • 1979 actually sucked. Lot of bad hair.

  • @TheHonda550 Oh how retarded a comment.

  • quantas ,recordações ao ouvir esta música . Momentos felizes,se foram com o tempo.

  • super cette chansons sa me rapelle mon adolesence!!je suis toujour boum! kan je l'ecoute!

  • i'd tap that

  • "Mucho mistrust... loves gone behind..." LOVE IT!

  • That is some quality audio. Crisp.

  • Good song, she looks like a coked up 70's porn star.

  • @bobo0202 I wish 70's porn stars looked that good!

  • @zappaus I wish all porn stars looked that good!

  • Que linda era Debbie Harry, y bien me lo pasaba con los amigos en las noches veraniegas de los ochenta.

  • and it was a guess, it should be I think in stead of : it was a gas...

  • If she told me "come", I wouldn't say "no".

  • Good Clip Ye Yo M13

  • Scary - the guy at 1:24 has a Beiber-do! Other than that, I love this song and video!

  • @VirgoGal74 if anything justin beiber has a destri do.

  • I remember her ( Debbie ! ) well - I mean how could anyone that knows her from back then not forget such a beauty. Truly what a woman should be. She is still the standard I judge women by - I mean why lower one's standards even though these days the pickings are slim indeed. Also what music ! Wow - what music was meant to be - nothing like the short lived ( thank god ) garbage of today ! Keep it rolling Debbie - we're still with you ! Love you babe ! :)

  • She is bautiful - still inlove with her.

  • @1bridlington - agree she is "bautiful" .. code for "aweful" ... in a retirement village :)

  • Beautiful woman, great song, good memories

  • Now how old are we both feeling hahaha x

  • I always fancied her, but I'll never forget the first time I saw this on TOTP. . . .or the subsequent, but inevitable wet dream

DH surpasses all before and after her. . .. Taylor, Munroe, Welch, Majors, Schieffer, Anderson..sure, plenty of women come close, but I can't think of one that's quite got the poise, look or sexual magnetism of Debrah Harry.

    Maybe it's the come-and-fuck-me-eyes

Blondie were a highly underated band too, Parralell lines was a fantastic album from start to finish

  • Lol what's the guy at 1:23 doing? Chewing a cord?? Or is that some kind of 70's instrument that I should know about, lmao?

    I <3 her voice, though. :D

  • HOT!

  • IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE AN ENTIRE 8 BALL IN HER NOSE

  • Why today's music sucks? Thanks to Microsoft and Bill Gates cos he makes it so easy to copy and distribut artist's hard work. It is ok if they get pay for that but trouble is they got paid so little and the pirates got paid so much. Make sense?

  • Debbie Harry is totally hot :)

  • @xothl WAS totally hot, you seen her now!?!?!?!

  • Wow im -insert age- and this music rocks! This years music sucks! -insert years- forever!

  • @fool3916 same here chic, I am 11 and love this music! everybody is into hip/hop and r'n'b and i am like I love Blondie she my icon! they are like

    WHAT!

  • In my opinion, the best disco song,

  • Wow, I'm 50 now, but I remember listening to this song and the nostalgia floods back when I was 19 and the memories floods back during that time when Blondie was the hot babe to buy and listen too.... is she is dating the drummer??? Probably married now with kids and grandchildren now.....

  • i didnt find "[+With Lyrics]"

    pff

  • And it will be in Rock Band 3 :)

  • awesome, simply awesome!!

  • does anyone know why there's a scream at the start of the song, during the drum intro and just before she starts singing. It's quite faint but you can definitely hear it

  • ATTENTION, MR. GREAT GARLOO...IF'N YER MAMMY LOOK-ID LIKE-UH BUH-LONDIE, N YER MAMMY CUT-ED HER HAIR LIKE-UH BUH-LONDIE, WOULD YOU BE FURTHER CONFUSED? SOME LATE-TERM BREAST FEEDING, PERHAPS..? hMMM, MAYTEY?!?

  • White Girl!

  • wow, esta cancion representa mi infancia, momentos felices....

  • 39 people have hearts of glass.

I was 7 when in '79 when this song came out and Debbie was just so pretty to me. Adding to the confusion my cousin was a deadringer for Debbie and even went so far as to cut her hair like Deborah's after this video came. I was so confuse.

  • Debbie Harry is the most striking front woman there`s eva been in the history of bands. Greatest band since their inception.

  • Debbie Harry is the most striking front woman there`s eva been in the history of bands.

  • My first Rock n Roll moment...I wrote 'heart of glass' on my Lee denim jeans. My girlfriends dad, never liked me ever since. I broke with her and never saw her again....South Africa wat a plek

  • i used 2 think that her and Olivia Newton Jon wer the same woman. Deborah is so pretty. This song takes me bak to 79, 4th grade.

  • there was something about Deborah before there was something about Mary

  • Always at fav of mine.

  • @neandertal40 Muchas gracias. Debbie Harry por siempre!

  • @doetim where did you find out what Deborah'sbirth name was? I've always wondered what was was originally named but have never found any reference to it. There was mention biography of Deborah trying to trace her birth parents in Cathay Che's but no mention of her birth name.

  • @Bananadiva1 wikipedia says that it was Angela Trimble

  • @Bananadiva1 I don't remember where I read it but it was online, that much I remember and it said that her birth parents' names were Mackenzie and Trimble and that her birth name was Angela Trimble. Interesting uh? That makes her Scottish! I think this is something that only Debbie knows for sure so when she releases her autobio we will all know but that's what I came across online.

  • "The pins of New York..." as Kafka might have put it.

  • she is so stunning in this id its actually unreal

  • Oh! The cocaine days -- stiff, tight and sexy.

  • nice indeed!!!

  • Heart of Glass always slays all of us

    nO ONE IS LESS THAN

    oooohhh i just love her

  • pray to the living god lord jesus

  • love this song :) but i have to admit, theyre not the greatest dancers ever

  • Wow - if she was that old in the 80's she must be like 412 by now?

  • She is so beautiful

  • @789bluebear she still is!

  • Bet she had a huge 70s bush! I wonder if the drapes match the carpet?

  • @Flopstar80 Well I think it's a well known fact that the "drapes" didn't and still don't match the "carpet" :P

  • @MRwonderman1 Well I would still throw her a bone while she looks me in the eyes and sings this song to me

  • @Flopstar80 HAHA Nice! :)

  • She is hot.

  • For you Sammy xXx

  • This woman cut a swathe through British youths of the seventies and early eighties, many never got over their first sighting. Still waiting for another one like this, has evolution gone into reverse or something?

God bless America is all I can say.
