well i think i might know why she was 'banned'. she did the daily show back in 1999 and she asked jon to conduct the interview as if she was catherine zeta jones so she wouldn't get her 'airport question' (what is brooke shield like irl etc.). i suppose they didn't like that she went off script and never asked her back.
