  • This was an AMAZING performance! I've watched this one loads of times and it STILL sends tingly chills down my spine! Thanks for this posting. ;o)

  • @LJChocoholic Also, I just wanted to say that this song is one of my all-time favourites, I've always loved it!

  • this is music.

  • unable to post.

  • Bill Medley is in Branson MO...most of the time...with his daugher (who is a beautiful woman) I printed a lot of photos for her...sweet girl to.

  • This was in 1965 to be exact. He was the best then and his voice is so perfect it gives goose bumps. He has been imitated, very well I might say by Paul Savage, but Bobby Hatfield ws still the best. RIP Bobby I listen to you everyday. Paul you do very well also, good luck your singing is very very good. Keep it up.

  • It seems like Bobby came out in this performance and lifted this song to beyond the reach of any other human being! Man or woman!

    Perfection.

    RIP Bobby.

  • AWESOME!!!!! always did love hearing them sing...

  • This man had absolutely the best version of this beautiful song. As he got older and involved himself with drugs he never sounded the same. Thank you for this video, it's perfect.

  • @vulcanman64 Actually, Bobby may not have been able to reach the highest notes as he grew older, but he sure sounded damn great at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2003.

  • the ending of this version is absolutely insane! I've never heard a man nail those notes so perfectly

  • I like much this song and video is good too Chris. Julia

  • Bill Medley has the must see show in Brranson MO with his son and daughter. HE still has that WONDERFUL voice

  • @fluffers99 in 66 saw the RB at Harrahs in Lake Tahoe. Two mature looking underaged lovers somehow got into the show, were seated up front and later got into the bar where up walked Bill Medley. He introduced himself, bought us a drink, signed a napkin and left us with with a wonderful memory. Would love to see him again.

  • @MrMikecarpino ... Glad you have a treasured memory of The RB. One of the

many reasons they were so popular for 41+ years was this - they were first both

great singers - as a duo and solo. Down-to-earth people - they were so

approachable. Everyone got autographed whatever they brought or bought at

the concert - and Bobby and Bill - were always gracious, kind and great

listeners to all of us fans. From town-to-town ... always knew what the fans

wanted - and gave it to us .

  • This is amazing x

  • awesome!! I remember when The Righteous Bros (Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley) 1st came out..I loved them then and remember them with love even now. RIP guys!! Thx 4 posting . phyllis....

  • @sleepytimegalz You're welcome! Bill Medley is alive and still touring, at the age of 70 :D

  • @bze2nlz4 I'm so sorry. yes, you are right.I had heard years ago that he had passed. Well, God bless him!! phyllis

  • @sleepytimegalz Bill is still touring, and he sings this at every show in tribute to Bobby. He recorded a wonderful cd called Damn Near Righteous in 2007, on which he included a mournful song called "California Goodbye" in memory of Bobby.

  • @sleepytimegalz I'm sorry, I knew that too, and meant to put Bobby there, but most likely my mind was somewhere else @ my writting. (still is lol) I have just snitched a vid of Bill singing just lately from a youtuber ugh!! I'm glad to see that you do catch these errors, it makes people feel safe when they go to comment on your videos. I am so sorry and I thank you for responding to me. hugs, phyllis x

  • Good one Chris! What a classic song! Ron
