  • My kiddos just turned 2 & 3 and they just blow my mind. They read in English, Spanish, a few hundred words so far in Russian and are dabbling in Chinese. They sing in solfege. recognize notes, are learning to read and play music, etc. My son recognizes quantity & can pick out a card with 46 dots on it, they both skip count and add/subtract. I have the utmost respect for the parents that take the time to START EARLY to develop their kids' full potential~! They're worth it!

  • @c335358 I have no doubt that early learning was the start of her fascinating journey! Teaching infants and toddlers to read is one of the best gifts you can give them. I have used both YBCR, YCCR,and others. YBCR is a great starting point IMO, but I am still partial to Little Reader. They are both valid methods, but LR introduces 3,000 words versus YBCR's 300. Ideally, parents can really use both simultaneously for reinforcement IMO, but if I had to pick just ONE it would be LR.

  • We taught our kids to read using BrillKids Little Reader. It's roughly the same price as Your Baby Can Read but you get a lot more bang for your buck because it's customizable software. Plus you can use BKAFF40902 to save a little more $. They offer a 2 week trial period but unlike YBCR, they don't require a credit card upfront. All babies can learn to read!! If you spend 5 minutes on the BrillKids forums you will literally find hundreds of babies reading. Good job teaching your baby!

  • @TeachingMyToddlers

I would say that with my daughter now entering John Hopkins CTY at 8 years old Dr Titzers Your Baby Can Read and Your Child Can Read videos were the source of this amazing journey! Our daughters are in the GATE programs two years ahead of other children their age and now entering John Hopkins because I don't want to jump them any higher in their school socially speaking. So the John Hopkins CTY allows accredited online learning..very happy at this point~

  • Update; Mallory is now 7 years old and going into the 4th grade. She received Academic award for Math speed timed test scoring 100%. Her STAR test has just come in and Mallory scored in the Academic range and was gapped above all the other children across the State of CA in the Math and Lang. Arts or all subjects tested in.. IMPORTANT TO NOTE that all the other children are TWO years older then Mallory...so..anyways..for this summer..Mallory is setting up her own website..and..proraming games~

  • i always say that females capture reading faster than boys..they are smart boys too, but girls since they are little capture more of the attencion of reading. my baby girl was more into it, than my boys.

  • @TheBebeaaron

I think with Mallory she was the first and had no interference from a sibling early on..but Emily was able to pick it up in about the same amount of time..Emily her younger sister is reading books already and doing math...this program..is for real...My brother was like Einstein..not me..not every child will learn..its my job to provide the tools...to water the innate qualities..like a flower..I do not push them..they are just off the chart...amazes me daily

  • I have seen that the your baby can read program has lawsuits for making children add and ahd when they get into school im not sure how true that is.

  • @Jukoe08

My daughter is 6 and going into the 3rd grade with a Star test rating of 4.3

She is doing mental math, reads, knows spanish, english, chinese, and is the top of her class which is 2 years older then she is! Just so you know..

  • @Jukoe08

I can tell you that Mallory was reading 62 wpm before starting school, and is currently learning formula and algebra. She started 3rd grade at 6 and will start 4th at 7..so far she is straight A student in all catagories. She is doing mental math currently as well. For example in her head she is squaring two digit numbers like 95X95 ..in seconds..she is able to muliply 11X 24 in seconds..she is able to multiply 3 digit multiplication in our heads..not kidding..

  • Im pretty sure they just learn to recognize what the word looks like and thats about it. Show her a card with a word she hasnt practiced lmao

  • @sweet4u420 EXACTLY

  • @sweet4u420

I want to be clear that the system works, and that Mallory could ready any word presented to her immediately. As you see in her first time reading a news paper obviously a news paper delivered that day..that is why I put that clip in to prove it!

  • you can watch Emily Mallory's baby sister with her 3 years old, reading, counting her numbers, she recognaized old the shapes doing homeword book kindergarden, reading book 1er grade you also can watch in youtube Emily Mallory's baby sister not just that she is learning reading in Spanish too

  • My baby cousin Riley and read and hes only 3 :)

  • @MooMaar14 u want a cookie?

  • yes, some books they can understand, other words is difficult for her she look for in the dicctionari, and she star making sentences with those words...if you explain also your helping too.

  • yea they can red, but do they understand nad take in what they are reading??

  • Yes, Mallory has just turned 6 and is well into the second grade, in Gate program, and doing advanced work. She does formula, she reads over 200 wpm, speaks and writes a little chinese, sign lang. speaks spanish, getts hundred percent on all spelling test..has her own dictionary to look up words all by herself...she is writing storys..considers herself a teacher and teaches her younger sister Emily what she learns in 2nd grade...Emily is 3 and is also reading ect..just like Mallory..they are amz

  • What's up MRtoker2007? Can I get one of these DVD's?

  • you can call free 1-888-read-888 its going to help you a lot.............

  • how much is the program

and really your child skipped a grade

I really want my mom to get this for my sister (she isnt born yet, but i need to know if it really works) I really want her to be a child who is 5x more smart then others her age (Your child seems amazing i didnt learn about quadralaterals untill like the 3rd grade!

    so...it really works??

  • It's $199.99. I can't afford it in this economy unfortunately.

  • Your child has but a small window..you can not afford not too and it is not 200 dollars..more like nineteen ninety nine..very affordable..you will always be proud of decision to give the gift of reading to your child..if you buy nothing else in your life for the child..buy this..it works! do it while they are babies...

  • The whole program is $199.99 not $19.99. A 30 day trial is $14.99 but that's a trial. I don't know where you are getting $19.99 from because I am on their website on the "order now" page and it says pay in full $199.99. Are you talking about yourbabycanread . com?

  • Yes you are correct...I saw part of the infomercial and didnt stick around to see the details...however..this is better then buying toys that would cost more in one or two trips to the toysrus store..so still worth it..I think I paid 60 bucks for the whole system when Mallory was a baby and thought that it would have gone down to 19.99 but apparently the value even in a recession has gone way up like gold!
