Wow I can't believe my ears, I've been searching for a particular sound from a snare drum for a good while now and this snare has it! Could you tell me how much you payed for it and in what currency?

@Intawebin I believe i bought the drum for 400 american, but i may be wrong. i know to have it built would be around a grand, but again if you shop around on ebay you can a find a deal every once in awhile. make sure you dont buy a guitar center model! its gotta have die-cast hoops, baltimore lugs, and i would highly suggest at least 20 plies! i had a 30 ply that i wish i would have kept and/or made a video of....that thing was the best!

yeah ocdp kinda blows now unfortunately....their bearing edges are weak, they are using a lot of those shark tooth cheap looking lug mounts, no more die cast, and basically quality has just gone way down as they continue to sellout to gay guitar center. im sure they're rolling in the cash though.

@ajlp12345 I have several Chad Sexton replica snares OCDP has built me, and they were in the thousands, cause...I'm stupid. Don't get me wrong, I love my Sexton snare's, but you can get the same 311 sound out of the Mass-produced vented snares OCDP sent out, the 14x6" 15-ply with vents like Sexton's old Transistor snare. I've learned It's all about tuning/technique/heads.
