I agree that there are not enough jobs available, and perhaps crazy driving is what men turn to, but it should not be allowed. And it's not just unemployed young men, it's most men. Make the roads safer for everyone. Fix the road laws and their enforcement and let women drive. And, provide something for the men to do!

Do you think women are more safe when they are being driven? No, the driver is usually the safest. And anyhow, noone uses seatbelts in Saudi- if anything they use a child as an air bag. Perhaps the whole system needs to change?
@bestworldever07 Yes, I live in Saudi Arabia, and waiting 5 minutes is an exception. Women have to cancel their plans all the time as they can't get drivers. The drivers are always late, sometimes by hours.
The driving environment should be made safe (and not just for women). Also, as the only country with no women driving yet with one of the worst accident rates, it perhaps shows that it's the men that are CAUSING all the accidents.

Dear lady speaker, you must be aware that Islam does not prohibit woem from driving. My wife drives but in Saudia Arabia it a pure safety problem and that is why they do not allow it. If women drove in Saudia Arabia, we would have hourly crimes of all sorts because Saudia Arabia is full of uneducated people who would pester women in the streets so please do not blame Islam for this but only it is a safety related issue.

I agree that there are not enough jobs available, and perhaps crazy driving is what men turn to, but it should not be allowed. And it's not just unemployed young men, it's most men. Make the roads safer for everyone. Fix the road laws and their enforcement and let women drive. And, provide something for the men to do!

@bestworldever07 Yes, I live in Saudi Arabia, and waiting 5 minutes is an exception. Women have to cancel their plans all the time as they can't get drivers. The drivers are always late, sometimes by hours.
The driving environment should be made safe (and not just for women). Also, as the only country with no women driving yet with one of the worst accident rates, it perhaps shows that it's the men that are CAUSING all the accidents.

Dear lady speaker, you must be aware that Islam does not prohibit woem from driving. My wife drives but in Saudia Arabia it a pure safety problem and that is why they do not allow it. If women drove in Saudia Arabia, we would have hourly crimes of all sorts because Saudia Arabia is full of uneducated people who would pester women in the streets so please do not blame Islam for this but only it is a safety related issue.

I have watched a lot of videos on YouTube of men discussing this issues. Their arguments seem very illogical, even when based on religious grounds.

Selam, Saudi-Arabia is ruled/run/spoiled by bunch of hypocrites. I give you one example, I being a journalist have been to places in saudi-Arabia which are built exclusively for westerners, surrounded by high walls/boundary. Inside it, huge swiming pools, someplaces with beaches - where foriegn women most of the time are relaxing wearing just bikini and men also sun-bathing half naked together.

Even many native Saudis are not allowed to visit these places and probably many Saudis dont know about these places. These sheikhs make arrangement for westerners to do this in the holy land while they dont let muslim saudi women drive and sometimes they talk to me about Islam !!!

I think the rulers of Saudi-Arabia are not real muslims. Any economists know they are selling(basically spoiling) the God-given special brand favor OIL for Arabs very very cheap to the u.s. I have talked to them and they are no doubt puppet of u.s or better to say slaves of u.s. I believe when ad-Dajjal comes from khorassan(Iran), they will be slaves of ad-dajjal and probably Isaa-ibne-Maryam (pbuh) will kill all these hypocrites with ad-Dajjal.

Well said by the sister in the video. It is a difficult struggle for the women there to gain their lawful rights. (Although in some aspects, the women in Saudi are quite well off, but few ever see this from outside).
This video should help show that it is the Saudi govt. and not the religion which is impeding on women´s rights. (which goes against what "freedom4expression" is trying to prove in his collection of anti-Islam videos!). Thanks for posting.
