Chinese students had their demostration on March 29. It's April 26 this time, and the participators are Chinese Canadians and permanent residents. Most of them have lived here for over 30 or 40 years. Just for your reference.

That's what I find so dumb about you guys. I love Canada great freedom and all. But go to China, you'll change your mind. You got this old image of China and you don't know it. If that many people are supressed in China like you think, not this many people all over the world would be supporting China right now. All over the world are pro-chinese even after the expierence freedom in france, england, USA, Canada, Germany, etc. That says something.

I've been to china and tibet many times- yes some people are getting rich, but a lot are still poor, and have no rights. Many of the people going to the pro-china protest are party members or the kids of party members that got their visas to the west through their parents contacts. So do they have a choice to protest- probably not.

Let me tell you something, your right there are still lots of poor people in China, especially the rural area like most of asia. But the poor people are happy with the government too, go and ask them.

Most people are satisfied with the chinese government and people are not as supressed as you think. China is so different from 20 or even 10 years ago.

No they're not- they are sick of the corruption and being treated like animals. Look at the people who had their land confiscated for Three Gorges or the Olympic site- they don't look very happy. And look at the rising number of protests all over China.
