@077glenn , this version of the song is the original from the 7" single. the version on 'substance' we all know and love was recorded a few months later and released as a more successful single. this version actually does not have gillian playing. i'd love to get an exact date on this video. i'm guessing somewhere between 88-91?

This was shot at 24fps and telecined at 25fps, hence the slightly speeded up audio. I did try to slow it down before posting by using an audio manipulation program, but it started to sound a bit 'electronic'.

@OKSauceOK The audio is perfect. I didn't realize it had even been sped up! I just figured it was the best version of the song I've ever heard. I wish it were a 15-minute extended version. Very well done in every regard.

I've heard many different versions of this song BY New Order,, one wayy slower than this, one at a moderate tempo, this one which is faster, the one thats has the kick pedal come in abit earlier than this and the singing isnt like this either, its more mellow and pained plus the guitar is different.
