I haven't gotten there yet, but at least now I see the "bb" every time I close my eyes. The only "problem" was that I forced myself so much the other night that the day after I could barely see "right". Everything was blurry. That had never happened to me before. That night I didn't do it and the next day my sight was back to "normal". And now I can see it as soon as I close my eyes. Now I have to learn to follow it :D It'll happen ;)

Expanding your awareness and make the present moment your focus. Past and future happen in the mind (we never physically have been in the past or future) it's always the present. Become observer of your own emotional conditioned behaviour pattern. And whereever the mind says you are 'waisting' time, observe without labeling, focus on breathing, be with what is.

I think, of a God fearing person, that an experience out of the body which is not controlled by the Holy Spirit could be dangerous, like any spiritual experience outside of God's direction. There is nothing stopping evil spirits coming in to invade that person. Be careful God Bless you and yours
just a thought here bc I am interested in both sides of this--but wouldn't it be like what you seek from the experience is what you will take out of it?

In occultic astral travel, it is often the one who is 'seeking' after the experience. Those in the Bible who had experiences which some interpret as being astral travel weren't seeking the experience. Those who practice astral travel do just that - 'practice' it, seek after and learn it from a book or a course.
Another difference between the two is that one is controlled by the Holy Spirit while the other is controlled by spirits that are not of God, or demons.
"And at once I became in spirit. And, behold, a throne was set in Heaven, and One sitting on the throne." (Rev. 4:2).
"And he carried me in spirit onto a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, holy Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God,..." (Rev. 21:10).
There are differences between the above Biblical texts and occultic astral projection. When God's people were caught up in the Spirit, it was God who let it happen.
