They can take the cooler water in HK, may be down to 60F at least, may be colder.
Air temp can be 50F, even 45F, in HK at night in the winter.

Did you catch these yourself? I see you're in Hong Kong. H. elongatus is a West African cichlid, have they become invasive to your location?
I love these fish. I'm ordering some wild caught juveniles soon and hope to breed them.

I caught this cichlid in Hong Kong reservoir and keep it in my fish tank. They are doing fine with our native fish. There is also jewelfish Hemichromis bimaculatus in our reservoir. We use to catch jewelfish as bait to catch snakehead. cool
