  • too much led zeppelin ....

  • the begging sounds like qeen...

  • for those who need a cheap dose of zepplin... this music is a mile wide but an inch deep. they've kinda poached the top layer of led zep and just made it their thing. hmmmm.....

  • @paintmask and you are an idiot that wouldn't know good music if it crawled into your empty head and exploded...in other words stfu! and go back to your gaga and beiber videos asshat!

  • how come theres isnt any phili e karnats solo stuff on here???

  • music cool

  • This song is a fucking jam . I don't care if people don't like it.

  • Cool! I like it so much!

  • drummer is sick! bonham meets drozd

  • cool song for a bunch of gingers lol

  • if they were siameses

  • Hey youtubers! I have the Now Here Is Nowhere track on my channel! I'm the ONLY one with it up!!! Come check it out! and other stuff on my channel :D

  • This was an awesome band. Hope they get back together.

  • I have everything by this band...Have been listening to them forever! Was sorry the brothers split :(

  • Does anybody know where could I found the original video? It's just disappeared from the web.

  • it's like a modern day led zepplyn

  • THIS IS NOT JUST HEAVY DISTORTION

  • They participated on the Tribute-Disc to the Mexican band "Caifanes"; with the song "Quisiera ser alcohol", and let me tell you this, it's the best song of the disc, that's how I heard about them, the more that I listen to their music the more that I like it!

  • what type of guitar is he playing?

  • @Vestigianullaretro a les paul by the looks of it.

  • @andyscoot43 noup its not a les paul but thanks

  • @Vestigianullaretro Fine then, lets be picky, it's a Hagstrom Les Paul copy.

  • @andyscoot43 fuck U

  • @Vestigianullaretro Baha, don't ask a question if you somehow get offended when i answer it.

  • love the singing love the lyrics people who hate the vocalist just dont get it, so go find a band with a sound you like instead of thinking this band should change for you

  • I feel like the singers voice doesn't quite suit a space rock kind of sound. Thats not to say he hasn't got talent, but i think this genre just isnt right for him

  • @bilbob1726 i agree. the backup singer has a better voice.

  • Brandon Curtis joined the live lineup of Interpol on keyboards and vocals. Nice stuff!

    /watch?v=NogpBvVAZb8

  • @harrymuse Ths guy ruins their songs!

  • Such an awesome song and brilliant live rendition! I concur with @penguinlady01.

  • Agree with comments that this band needs a new lead singer.

  • Fantastic band!!!

  • hoooo esta es una buena rola, acabo de conocer a estos cuates por el tributo a caifanes y son la neta, pegan duro.

  • This could have been a great song -- with that awesomely catchy interplay between the guitar and the drums for that first minute; then the crappy singing style, lame lyrics and bad attempts at a more melodic guitar sound ruin it.

I've heard other stuff by the band and the singer hurts the band. Get rid of that awful accent.

  • @Muldfeld You're an idiot. Brandon is amazing.

  • @penguinlady01 I meant no offense. I just don't like strong American or Canadian accents in my singing.

  • the guitars and drums rock but they need to find a new lead singer...

  • Sad and lonely kick that bass drum,,,,,,,,,,

  • Great music, unfitting vox at best.

  • Comment removed

  • this isn't Sad and Lonely.

  • perfect performance!

  • has any one else noticed that this song ends on 4:20

  • It's a shame the quality isn't optimum, but the music is very good though.

  • Never heard of this band before, but sounds like they try very hard to sound like Led Zeppelin.

  • Too bad the band is pretty much dead now. Failure to recreate the quality on the Now Here is Nowhere album and the In-the-round tour ruined it for them. Expensive set, bad promotion led to empty venues. Didn't take long for WB to drop them. Seems like they are having a hard time finding money to record again, or even launch a full-fledge american tour. Brandon and Josh, hope u guys can get through it and record some new material.

  • is this a cover a song by the delusions?

  • I thought exactly what hifi1969 did. All zeppelin sound around the drums.

  • He look likes Bernard Butler in the video. Anyway the song is fucking awesome.

  • Does Secret Machines have many fans where you are in Honk Kong?? Do you agree with me that they aren't the same ever since they lost their guitarist?

  • Very fucking "heavy" JPP must be very proud.

  • @kimmer7159 whos jpp?

  • @hollywoodpurplehaze

Jimmy Page - James Patrick Page

  • reminds me of kashmir from led and a bit of pink floyd vibe

  • Wow..really good song..has a Zep sound to the drums..love it!

  • i fell into a youtube blackhole and landed in awesomeness

  • @kdj2x Yeah they are friggin' awesome. I saw Kings of Leon this weekend and it sparked my interest in finding some good stuff I'd seen before. Check out.

Cold War Kids "hang me up to dry" and The Wigs "Black Lotus". Good luck in the black hole!!

  • @kdj2x I love when that happens to me!

  • Great song and great band :D

  • fuckin badass song

  • awesome! you've got to see them live!

  • Led Zep meets Pink Floyd!

  • Secret Machines: Live at Pompeii?

  • This band is awesome.

The ending is Pink Floyd esque....I wish I could remember the exact song, but it sounds similar ending, like the noise building to a crescendo.

  • if you want to hear Pink Floyd esque listen to Secret Machines song I Hate Pretending, it sounds just like something Syd Barret would turn out

  • @gosurfinginstead4 It's a Shepard Tone, Richard Wright plays one at the end of Echoes.

  • hahahaha totally or maybe nickelback or say nickelback... dude you are hilarious

  • so good live... they are on tour opening for you will know us by trail of the dead.... SM worth the price of the ticket alone... took girlfriend's daughter to her first concert... had to be SM...

  • Fastmandan88 hit the "Bonham-ish" comment on the head. Josh Garza, the drummer, stated in Modern Drummer that he tries to channel the Bonham sound and vibe in his sound and playing. I'd say he does a pretty good job of it. He had to have "When the Levee Breaks" running through his head when this was tracked.

  • reminds me of The James Gang a little bit.

    i like it.

  • i love the vocals on this song..great band!

  • just saw these guys last night at dia de los toadies--soooo awesome! they really rocked it!!

  • did you ever hear such a fat end??.....genius....this band are amazing!!!!

  • drums are great. very john bonham-ish.

  • soooooo underrated

  • likewise

  • i think i just jizzed in my pants.

  • This is pretty damn good, very psychedelic. Never listened to these guys before. Need to pick up an album if I get the chance.

  • i dig the beats man

my friend just told me to listen and now i think i just found a new favorite band

    haha

  • Had not heard of them till i saw them in Monterrey opening for OASIS!!!!

  • Totally groovable dude!

  • good drums great song! A+

  • they kinda sound like a mix between my bloody valentine, silversun pickups, and "Evol" era Sonic Youth.....

  • gawd i love this track

  • good beat funny i never heard of these guys ther pretty good

  • THATS MUSIK :)

  • Man, Jimmy page is such a good drummer in this video. Rock on Jimmy

  • lol...

  • hah

  • Good music ,,,,,Good Band!

  • the drummer kinda looks like Jimmy Page.

  • He's been compared to Bonham, for being loud and aggressive. I think they're right! :D

  • but his face and hair look like page's

  • HUGE bass drum is always good! haha

  • Indeed...

  • 2 words- power trio!

  • Anybody heard this drum beat/groove anywhere else?

  • well not every drum beat is original.. kinda sounds like old zep though

  • I'm not saying that they stole it - it's so good I'm just surprised its not in any other songs.

  • wut?

    random.

Originality does exist here and there in the music industry....

  • it is pretty badass huh?

  • The opening groove is reminiscent of when the levee breaks by led zeppelin.

  • 2:43-3:15 is amazing

    :D

  • Dig this.

  • Best SM song for an awesome groove. Dig those sweet drums.

  • But holy fuck wierd ass vocals that just ruined it.

  • that is a bad ass groove

  • how come ive never heard of these?

    they are immense !

  • The guitar is a Hagstrom

  • Great observation!!!!

  • these guys are good

  • Chuwie!!

  • I think I just wet my pants....

  • somebody has any idea what guitar is he using? looks like it has a big tuner ..

  • hagstam i think thats what you call them but theyre brilliant

  • that's definitely jimmy page on drums...oh what a mindfuck!

  • Jimmy Page? what the fuck? you mean John Bonham?

  • Jimmy Page played guitar for zeppelin... Bonham played drums...

  • Well he dfinietley has the pedal down like Bonham-would give him a run for his money. But i think the influnece is more Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker. Definitely one of the better drummers, the guy from the Whigs is a little more refined. Bonham and Moon were the best drummers of their generation. These two guys are there, we'll see.

  • he really reminds me of bonham almost same set i think too

  • the intro sounds kind of like led zeppelin...i like this band

  • Nice instrumental begining.Trrriiips

  • i never hear anything about these guys.. the only reason i've found any of their songs is because of the internet. How come? They're good!

  • these guys are from texas....but now reside in new york...a few years ago rolling stone magazine compared them to radiohead and pink floyd.

  • Awesome!

  • I agree- the drums do sound great especially in conjunction with the bass- They have a new guitar player now, and it's apparently working out well. All pieces in the band seem to have equal strength. They are playing in Brooklyn in a few weeks, but I am hoping they will one day play a place like maybe the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

  • Big time. The drums sound great!

  • I love this- a fantastic blend of styles and emotions-very unique, yet familiar...

I hope they come to New Jersey soon.

  • i saw these guys live on monday! it was amazing.

  • mr davie bowie can't be wrong eh !!

  • TSM are absolutely amazing... It's sad that people dont have the patience to sit and listen good music, everything on the radio and on the mainstream sounds exactly the same these guys have come to re-invent some sounds and portray a bit of freshness to the same crap we hear every single day

  • It's clear AVA took a few pointers from SM.

  • the only reason they didnt get booed off stage at the Orlando show is because the guys from Coheed came out on stage and told us to show respect.

I checked out their myspace and it wasn't too bad, but live they were absolutely horrible. I had never gotten a headache at a show before. The vocals were horrible, and all the songs seemed incredible repetitive.

And stop with the whole "corporate" shit. To not like a band because they are popular is even sadder than liking them because of popularity

  • I was at the show just before yours, tampa. I saw them in Orlando 2 years ago when they opened for kings of leon. All I can say is that Coheed fans are douchebags. I like coheed, but their fans are uncouth. the kings of leon fucking LOVED TSM...its just that you don't get their style. coheed is all about solo's and fast beats and in your face music. TSM draws out chords progressions and beats and has patience - its just a different style.

  • I was at that show and Secret Machines kicked ass dude. They warmed up that seat real nice for Coheed.

  • you people dont know what the fuck youre talking about. coheed sucks. its pop rock corporate bullshit. people dont have patience for this type of music anymore. Secret Machines are one of the best bands out now.

  • haha dude...seriously... they got booed off stage.... lol talk all you want but that is sayin something!!

  • yeah, what that says is that Coheed fans are a bunch of ignorant, unevolved rude morons ... and they missed out hearing what real music is all about. Of course they wouldn't get it, these guys actually know how to compose songs and play their instruments. Coheed fans snooze you lose !

  • Did they open for a better known band? That could be saying MORE. People at concerts have little patience for opening acts when they are there primarily to see the headliners.

  • The Edge from U2 mentioned them so, seriously, how bad can they be?

  • i get to see them tonight. they're openiong for coheed and cambria. i love coheed but i am still not sure about this band...hmmm ...we'll see

  • That is the stupidest sentence ever. you are a fucking loser. Coheed and cambria is fucking shitty. Secret machines rules.

  • I just saw this band live and I have to agree... songs are way too long, the new guitarist is actually making the songs sound worse, and they were a snooze fest. Crap. But they do have a few rockin' tunes that were enjoyable.

  • ehh... 5 minutes is too long of a song?

i take it you're not an Opeth fan

  • I take it you're not a Project Hate MCMXCIX fan?

  • i am now

    good stuff

  • One of my favourite songs by them. The drum sound reminds me a bit of David Bowie's Low.

  • Sigh.. They sure did not belong at Sled Island this year. For one thing they were ridiculously boring live, playing the same riff time after time again with ridiculously terrible drumming. Every song seemed the same and the set lasted far too long. The whole crowd got lost and I saw tons of festival-goers turn to their books. As an added bonus I know people who drummed better in grade 4. Whatever, a good excuse to go eat lunch. If you're Calgarian and were there, input please.

  • Who do you get hair like that? (guitarist)

  • I'd love to see these guys on a bill with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Black Angels. That'd be a righteous show.

  • he learnt well the drumming of mr. bonham...

  • Comment removed

  • this is one of the greatest bands

  • This band WAS one of the greatest till the guitarist left... now they should call it quits... you can't replace that guy.

  • shit are you serious?

  • Yeah, he went on to do solo stuff... what a moron. And the bigger moron is the singer who insists on keeping the band with a bunch of guest studio guitarists. It just won't be the same.
