@opiumrx - It's best not to just assume that. Things like this happen everywhere cars are driven. Seriously, if it happened rarely there wouldn't need to be warning ads for it. These ads aren't made for fun... They're made because speeding is a common problem. It's not wise to have the attitude that things like this "never happen". I mean, I know many people who've been in bad car accidents - and I'm not American! The truth is, we're human. And humans make mistakes. REGARDLESS of their country.
understandable, i've been in quite a few accidents, but seriously some of those accidents they show are just over the top exageration, i hit 3 trees at something like 140kmh thats around 70+ mph right? me and my friend didnt have seatbelts on and what happenes....nothing, i got a bump on the head from hitting the roof, he didnt get anything and to top it off the car rolled. So i just wanted to point out that those commercials are very unlikely...not all of them but some.

How about this:
Speeding-> less time for the driver to react
Speeging-> longer distance to stop the car
Speeding & driver error -> easier to lose control of the car
Speeding -> others can not estimate your speed and may think they have enough time to cross the road...

how about a real solution:
Pay attention and its more than enough time, see danger back off.
Buy a better set of tyres repair your car when it has problems and even a whale of a car can take corners above the speed limit.
Pay attention, dont be an idiot and LOOK RIGHT, LOOK LEFT and LIVE... its so simple they teach it to kids!
Avoid Push bikes like the plague (thats all I've got, thats the one time I really worry about hitting someone).
