  • A very, very awesome poem Haley. :) I loved it very much and it's very cool to see Marty again. :) I hope that you are having a good day? The weather is nasty and cold here today, and it was raining, but it stopped now. I really enjoy your poetry a lot. You are a really nice person and I'm very glad that I know you. :) x Take care my good friend.

  • Thanks, Warren. :) Yeah, Marty sometimes gets in the videos. Oddly at times when I don't plan on filming him, and he tries to run away when I do want to make a video with him in it. Cats are funny creatures. Go figure. :P

Hope that rain goes away. I never have liked the cold weather, either. Whether it's rain or snow. Thanks for listening to my poem. :)

  • haha it like to attack pens

  • Ha, ha. Yeah, my cat is funny that way. :)

  • Your poem lifts my spirits on this day of grieving the loss of my beloved dog, Jill. Perhaps she is living on in some form. I love the way you write and you deserve a sky full of shining stars for this one.

  • Thanks so much, Debs. I'm sorry about the loss of your dog. :( I had a dog pass on in 2002. His name was Ralph and he was only seven years old at the time, so I took it pretty hard. A friend of mine from high school recently passed on in a car accident and I like to think that in some form of energy, my friend is living on somewhere in the universe. I'm glad this poem was able to life your spirits. Be well. :)

  • this was one of my personal favourites.

    Well done

    i'm having a good day

  • Thanks, Kas. :)

  • Marty reminded me of my physics course - my prof always tried to tie the concepts to examples that always involved his cat, Thor. For example, if Thor ran across the carpet and picked up a charge of 1 picocoulomb, and the prof then picked up Thor and shook him at something like 3E5 meter/sec then he would emit some kind of EM radiation. Yeah he was interesting.

Good poem - but don't try that with Marty :) BTW, is he named for Marty Mcfly?

  • EM radiation from a cat? Did I read that right? :O Sounds like an interesting physics class. :)I won't try that with Marty. :P

Funny that you ask, that is who he is named after. I've always been into films about time travel and the name Marty seemed to suit my cat. I read to kill a mockingbird in an english class a year before I got Marty and that's where his second name Jem comes from, after Jem Finch. Kind of funny, I name my cat after characters. :P

    Thanks for the comment. :)

  • That was a great poem.I really liked that one.Its got to be my favorite of all your collections.Looked like Marty liked it too.

  • Glad you liked the poem. :) As for Marty, I'm not sure he really cared for it very much. I think he just likes to be around the camera sometimes. Oddly enough, the times when he does like to be around the camera are the times when I don't actually invite him to be part of the video. I guess cats are funny that way. :P

    Thanks for the comment. :)

  • My favorite line is "Past the solar system's burning ball of gas." That's awesome ^__^

  • Thanks. I wanted to make a reference to the sun in the poem, but it took me a little while to come up with a rhyme that seemed to fit. Glad you liked the poem. :)

  • Very nice! I especially enjoyed the end of this one! And yes, today I am having a very good day! Take it easy!

  • Thanks. :)
