  • i would love to see health test run on a raw foodiest and a cook foodiest, vitamins, minerals, blood pressure ect.

  • Wow, you body slammed her Susun from the top rope.

  • @pratglad3 Haha, yea. The only times I eat raw vegetables are when there's a dip-sauce... That means, I eat anything and can eat anything...and I have the most healthy eating habit there is : Omnivorism. ... We can't discussed on that, right.

  • Go paleo its the gene diet best diet ever! Eat raw too but only 50%

  • raw food is in many cases a part of ortorexia! Why in hell is it important to be so extrem EVERY TIME! ONLY EATING RAW FOOD! ?=??????? wounder if the to the same with other things in life? They only watch horror movies from korea on vhs tapes! and they never watch anything else! So boring life! I eat raw because i want to live long! Whats the mening of living long without mutch support from the people around you? I rahter eat "Unhealty" with lovely friends! than super healty alone.

  • its extremly hard to take a person serious when the person choose a name like rainbow to here daughter! even if raw food is good the raw food dosent make cense in a city! its like speak with low voice on a rock concert! even if we save our voices we cant get the other person to hear what we say so wats the point!

  • @NecessaryKnowledge Not really but hey ...

  • Brigitte is awsome!...beautiful, smart and fun...

  • The reason why raw foodists use BLENDER is to break the cell wall of green veggies (and other fruits/veg) in order to release all the vitamins but most importantly THE CHLOROPHYLL (very similar to blood cells. nutritionally, like receiving blood transfusion).

OVER 80% of all vitamins are destroyed during the process of heating food over 40 C degrees (up to 40C equals to temp in nature)

For more info: Gabriel Cousens books (a doctor and raw food eater, which explains a lot), Victoria Boutenko etc

  • Both of the women are beautiful and both well-informed. I believe everything is simply about Balance ∞

  • I was a little confused over what Susan said about breaking the cell walls of plants. Doesn't chewing break open around 25% of the cell walls of fruits and vegetables?

When I juice something like wheatgrass, isn't the 'green' the chlorophyll that comes from the chloroplast within the cell?

I like how she mentioned enzymes, and how our digestive system destroys these enzymes, but she didn't mention that heating above 45 degrees celsius also denatures the enzymes.

  • @TheLoserKingdom Cells a re so tiny, that for the most part, the macro-machinery of blending, juicing etc, does not break the bulk of the cells walls - cellulose is some seriously strong stuff - it's the reason we build houses out of it (wood).

  • Headband hippy (cooked fooder) is completely correct and very knowledgeable. Totally owns the raw foodie in this debate.

  • fermentation probably is susan's preferred way as it forms etoh as a bye product.

  • Whos going to plant a roasted sunflower seed anyways? LOL I think once your food is chewed and swallowed, It dies anywyas. It gets broken down in the stomach, with the strong gastric juices. Did you know the gastric juices in our stomach can actually burn through metal? So basically eating raw or cooked food is the same I think its just all in our heads that we think raw is better than cooked, . Cooked tomatoes give more nutrients than raw ones.

  • What the hell, why she wears a blue bandana? Thats soo ridicoulous, and offcourse plants are healthier for you, but if you wanna live on plants you need to eat a whole lot. U have to eat some animals or some high fat plants to get your calories.

  • very interesting debate and thank you for uploading these videos.

One question: can our body naturally break through the wall of a plant cell and absorb nutritions in it? Pro cooked food debater said "plant cell's wall is too thick," but I am uncertain how thick it is and why our body cannot penetrate the wall.

Becasue as a vegan, not raw footist, I consume fruits, which are not cooked, often and I see small changes on my body.

    Thank You

  • blablabla blabla blabla bla bla bla bla bla blablabla blabla blabla blabla blabla bla bla bla bla bla DET ER EN GANG L*** HUN LUKKER UD bla bla bla blabla bla blablabla blablabla blablabla bla blabla blablabla blabla blabla blabla blabla blablablablablabla blablabla blabla blabla blabla blabla blabla bla bla HUN TALER FOR SIN SYGE MOSTER blabla blaabla blabla blabla blabla blabla blabla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla blabla blablabla bla blabla bla bla bla bla bla bla blabla bla bla bla bla

  • I just look at the results of each lifestyle. A bloated nutritionist telling me to do as he does doesn't get my ear, but someone like Brigitte telling me to do as she does has my full attention.

  • @plumevine Brigitte appears anxious and her thoughts are scattered. Susun delivers her point concisely and with passion. Do you agree?

  • I just look at the results of each lifestyle. A bloated nutritionist telling me to do as he does doesn't get my ear, but someone like Brigitte telling me to do as she does has my full attention.

  • Why is everyone attacking the speakers personally instead of contributing to the debate?

  • I think, well this is what i do. Have cooked food with a big raw salad.

  • the raw lady looks healthier than the cooked lady

  • Yeah but maybe she is older, lived more, outside more?

  • heating is the same as freezing? wtf?

heating is increasing movement within the atomic structure, freezing is reducing that movement, increasing movement makes heated obejct to disintegrate, freezing does not, yes both destroy cell walls but in a totally different way.

  • so many of you raw fooder are just insulting the way she looks because you dont like anyone telling you that maybe your diet isnt perfect. she doesnt look that fine. for her age she looks fine. imo her genetics give her a heavier biuld.

  • yes...at her time in life her genetics have served her well:)

  • I'm trying to learn about raw food (I'm totally new to this), and it's quite a turn off to read comments about these women's appearance. Can we argue the merits of the points they present and not who looks fat or old? It comes off as very immature to insult people based on their appearance when you don't agree with what they're saying.

  • "Enjoy ur health probs"

Why the hostile, defensive response? Can't handle a differing opinion? Heh!

  • U r taking it that way. i know u have health probs. i'm just stating a fact U defensive n can't handle the truth ;). aw

  • @SeptemberSun77 I think the point that they are trying to make is that she does not look healthy. There are many many health risks associated with being over weight. I'm not taking anyone's' side here, I'm just putting my two cents in, here.

  • the cooked food bitch looks FAT Im not quite sure if I can sit thru this stupidity is there some point in this waste of time where the cooked food bitch is gonna stand up ? I already know Brigette is in good shape holy fuck. Im getting sick as this goes on... Fermentation is NOTHING like cooking honey, we know about cell walls,, thats what we do with or vita mix most animals eat mono diets- ur goat analogy sux
  • Susun, what point do you think you are making here? Since when would a raw foodist argue that their stomach acids do not break down food? We thought you were going to talk about eating food that has ALREADY been cooked. Food that has been cooked before it even goes into the mouth.

I hope she can give some better info in the next videos. I am interested in some things she might talk about... I just don't think she really thought some of this through.

  • Miss Weed looks like a smug butt at the end of her speech. It's all about how you feel on a certain diet. I feel energetic, happy and amazing raw. I don't feel that way on cooked food.

  • I like Brigitte but naming your kid "rainbow mars???" c'mon

  • Susun's appearance (and smoker voice) is not exactly that of a woman I would want to emulate, and likewise her mannerisms are aggravating (to say the least)... why is she so harsh and upset throughout her entire presentation? She seems to be actually angry at some points... rather unnecessary for such a simple debate. :) She makes some good points.

Brigitte needs more science, more research, less hooey.

  • @DauntlessDiva Google "susun weed why is susun angry?" :)

  • Oh my God - my goat is cooking inside!!!

    lol xDDD

let´s jump out of the cellar window ...

  • Yeah Brigitte! You tell it to that prematurely aging, cooked food eating woman!

  • me must break the cell wall to get ANY nutrition from a plant?

with this logic, it should follow that raw foodists should be completely undernourished and eventually dead. Anyone who has actually EXPERIENCED the raw diet (susan weed clearly has not) knows that the opposite is true.

Her arguments are the perfect example of what happens when you let so-called science do your thinking for you :)

  • LOL., nothing in nature eats raw food.... :-)

  • In all fairness, she further explains that our digestive acids cook the raw food in our stomachs.

  • I believe digestion by hydrochloric acid and enzymes in the stomach is quite a different process than caramelizing carbohydrates, denaturing proteins and deranging fats through application of intense heat via cooking. To state that fermentation, digestion and application of oil has the same effect on foods as extreme heat (true "cooking") is quite simply erroneous.

  • First, she says - 5:00 stomach acid cooks the food anyway.

Then - 5:46 - "a person would have to eat 40 pounds of food a day to liberate enough nutrients by the cooking in their own stomach..."

Plus the fact there are raw-foodists (28 years for Dr. Graham) that haven't died.....but thrived.

  • Susan Weed is like Mother Nature.

  • Raw food rocks. Wicca priestesses who go on the internet to make themselves look silly: not so much.

  • Is this a joke...

Brigitte Mars... I respect you highly thanks!

  • "nothing in nature eats food raw" ( i stopped listening to her after that)

  • Yep. And she often contradicts herself. For instance: she said our stomach acid ends up cooking it. What about "nothing in nature eats food raw"??? Yes, I'm knit-picking about semantics, but it shows her illogical thought patterrn, also of the poster who said she was logical.

  • that is definitly true! but no one wants to admit it

  • I admit she presented a more 'fact based' argument than Brigitte Mars who really provided no concrete convincing points at all, HOWEVER, most of Susan Weed's "facts" were just plain wrong, lol.

  • LOL 'Weed' is a v appropriate name for her!

  • huh? How is that?

  • lol, no taste

  • -male Savanna Elelphant- 7,700-26,000 lb

-The Forest Elephant can weigh up to 9,900 lb

-Sri Lankan Elephants up to 12,000 lb

    -Indian Elephant 11,000 lb

    -Sumatran Elephant 6,600 lb

  • 5:00-

"So an elephant, which weighs around a thousand pounds..."

She is way off on this one...

  • Yea ...... there are some PEOPLE who weight 1000. And they eat cooked food.

  • She's way off on a lot of things. She states that a baked potato contains more Vitamin C than a glass of orange juice.

Fact: one cup of raw orange juice contains approx. 4 times the Vitamin C than a large baked potato.

  • @1q2w3e4r5t6yusername Just to elaborate.

Asian elephants weigh up to about 12000 pounds or so on average.

African elephants weigh up to 13000 pounds or so on average.

They eat between 220 to 440 lb of vegetation each day
