Lol. They did not sell this song to B.o.B. Get your facts straight. They wrote the hook to Airplanes. The beat for Airplanes and Airplanes pt 2 was done by Alex da Kid, aka the producer who did Love the Way You Lie, Coming Home, Words I Never Said, and every other smash hit with female vocals. Give more credit to B.o.B, who definitely wrote his own verses, and Alex da Kid for the beat, but thank Kinetics and One Love for the concept of the hook.

But since they are writers for the Warner Brothers Music Group, people from Atlantic heard it, and a deal was worked out, in which they sold rights to the Hook and the chord progression. Lupe then wrote verses to this song, to be a part of Lasers for the first part of L.U.P.End but it got delayed so B.o.B.'s mastered version was the one used?

i think the official story is a year ago k&1ls demo (the girl is Christine Dominguez) got to someone at atlantic, who bought the rights to airplanes and k&1L got (probably) 20-50 grand, a writing credit on whatever release it appears on, and like 1/10th of a point on the album. since then, airplanes remained in atlantics catalog. BOB ended up picking it to turn into a song, and K&1L have 2 writing credits on his album (check the album art for Jeremy Dussoillet and Tim Sommers next to eminem)
