  • ХОРОSШО!

  • @destructorbeam according to vintagesynth it has both pulse and sawtooth waveforms as well as a noise generator.

  • so does the cs 5 have a sample and hold that the cs 10 does not? what is the true difference between the 5 and the 10?

    great video!

  • I want one

  • my gosh this lady is stellar..

  • hey there pretty nice fat basslines... hey you think i could pull the beat at the begging of this youtube video: Latin Freestyle S-Factor Hard To Get (RARE!!!) by albystyle with this yamaha synth?

  • I bought the synth in the video from abertronic and am in love with it! (very recommend to buy stuff from him) So many cool sounds out of a somewhat simple synth. Great for the bassy drones I do as well as fx. Should have some videos up of it on my page once I start giging with it.

  • Bought mine new in 1980...still have it and it still works great. I used it for many years for left hand bass

  • you added reverb right?

  • yes! I just listened again and must of forgotton to mention it in the description! It comes in around 2:30.

  • This has excellent cut-off freq.

  • no not even near

  • Mine is over 30yrs old and looks straight out of the box. Capable of amazing phat sounds considering just one VCO. Patch mine through an ART fx rack unit for reverb and echo. OK nice to have the Moog/ARP badge for the kudos but believe me the 70s CS range is very underrated and far more stable and reliable.

  • CS-80 fan for life . It is the holy grail of analog synths.

  • this is awesome

  • This sounds amazing, I really want one.

  • This is a great synth! I've got one, pretty beat up, but it's great on it's own or to run other synths through it like a D-50 for total analog fatness!

Theres actually a special secret I discovered, don't know if it's the same with all the others but you can actually bypass the LFO which can be very helpfull. You can do it(at least on mine) by putting the wave form selector between the sawtooth and sinewave. It's great for when you just want un-LFO'd sounds from external audio or alone.

  • @fourtywpm Great advice. Tried this on my CS-10 (which I bought from abertonic btw) and it works fine.

  • @fourtywpm Thank you, but if you want to bypass the LFO can't you just set VCO, VCF and VCA mods at 0?

  • thats crazy

  • Got one myself. But it's always exciting and inspiring to hear what sounds others can get out of it. Especially for one like me, who is no scolar at sythesizers :)

  • Excellent friend. thankyou so much. always wanted to know what one looked like close up. You really know how to get great sounds. very impressed.

  • what are you running the cs5 into? i know i doesn't sound like that on it's own. sounds great, though.

  • Just recorded with a apogee duet into Logic 8 . Not touched except a bit of compression and limiter . But around the 2.30 min mark Ive added a bit of reverb.

  • I love this synth!
